According to the rumor, one of the upcoming DLC characters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is...
Banjo and Kazooie.
The rumor started in a ResetEra thread that was discussing the release of a new Banjo-Kazooie controller holder that is being developed by Exquisite Games. In the thread, ResetEra admin shinobi602 saying "Been a while since we saw Banjo in anything. Hope we’re in for a smashing good time." This user has a history of correct predictions in threads, as chronicled by a Reddit user named Kewlౠ0210 in on the r/sma🅷shbros subreddit.
According to Kewl0210, shinobi602 leaked correct information concerning God of War's setting and his given accurate information concerning Destiny 2, Gears of War 4, and Spider-Man (via .)
Banjo and Kazooie are two characters that fans have wanted to see in Super Smash Bros. for a while now and the fact that Microsoft owns Rare doesn't seem to be an issue anymore, as Nintendo thanked Microsoft for helping to bring Cuphead to the Switch. It's possible that a new 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Banjo-Kazooie game is in development and that Microsoft is allowing the pair to appear in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a promotional tool▨ to introduce the characters to a new audience.
There are still other rumors to consider, as information datamined from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, combined with other leaks, has suggested that the next DLC character will be a representative from the Dragon Quest series (most likely Erdrick from Dragon Quest III). There was recently an announcement for a Dragon Quest ARG game in Japan, which Square Enix might want to bring overseas, so the idea of a Dragon Quest character in Super Smash Bros. makes more sense than ever, especially with a port of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age coming to the Switch. It's possible that Nintendo might announce two DLC characters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that will bookend their E3 Direct.
Fans won't have to wait for long, however, as Nintendo's E3 Direct will be held on 𝄹June 11.
