just hours before 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's release, the protagonist from Persona 5 shocked just about every single Smash fan. It was a character reveal completely out of the left field, and it set quite the bar for the rest of Ultimate's DLC fighters.
As time passed and the metagame continued to grow, Joker eventually became known as an extremely solid top-tier character, even seen by many as the best character in the entire game. There isn't too much that Joker struggle🎀s with, being such a great character and all, but what about this Phantom Thief either appeals to players or deters them away?
10 🎶 ASSET: Arsene 💟
This big, scary ghost-man is infamous within Smash Ultimate for being an extremely versatile comeback mechanic and all-around amazing power-up. Joker by himself♏ is already a solid character with his quick movement and huge combos, but Arsene makes him quite ridiculous.
Essentially attacking alongside Joker with every attack, he buffs his damage output, knockback, and attack length. When Arsene is out, Joker has a far easier time getting KOs on opponents and can make it extremely difficult for them to fight back. "168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Lookin' cool Joker!"
9 ಞ FLAW: Weight𓃲
Joker is quite the lanky individual, and his weight value places him around Lucario and Inkling. 🗹He falls into the lower half of the middleweight class and if he happened to be༒ only a few units lighter, he would be placed into the lightweight category.
While this is a trade-off between his above-average speed, this does mean that he'll be getting KO'd quite 👍a bit earlier than a lot of the cast. Joker is already quite a complex charact🅰er, and he'll have to be played with a careful mindset as to not kick the bucket early.
8 🔯 ASSET: Combos
Any character that comes packaged with blindin🦩gly quick attacks, drag-downs, various jab-reset setups, and multiple kill confirms is sure to have a devastating🅺 combo game. Joker arguably has one of the best in the entire game, and players can pull off 50% or more in a single string.
What makes these combos even better is the fact that Joker has Arsene to potentially summon in the middle💃 of one of these combos for an almost guaranteed KO. Since these attacks all come out so fast, the opponent has to constantly be on their toes or risk losing a𝔉 stock in the blink of an eye.
7 ﷽ ไ FLAW: Difficulty
Compared to the rest of the cast, Joker ends up bei𝄹ng far more technical and precise than most, requiring players to put in a significant amount of ﷽practice time. His combos can be a bit tricky to get down, and his projectiles and recovery will take some time to harness effectively. His combo tree is extremely complex and can be used in a variety of ways, so it's important to learn as much as possible.
Sure, anyone can pick up and play Joker and get some decent results, but anyone looking to main Joker will need to spend some quality 1-on-1 time w✅ith him in💖 the training room. Don't expect to instantly become the next MKLeo by just picking Joker.
6 ASSET: Kill Confirms 𓃲 ✱
As mentioned before when talking about Arsene, he gives Joker the extra boost in power he needs to take stocks like there's no tomorrow. His smash attacks and aerials all become extreme༒ly potent moves, and they're made even better by his various ways of comboing into them.
🐟A frequently used example would be with the first hit of his forward-air, as it launches opponents at just the right angle to follow it up with a drag-down up-air into an up or down-smash. This combo starts extremely quickly and is effective for taking stocks on the ground🌜 or on a platform, and is one of the reasons why Joker is so feared.
5 FLAW: Range 🐼
Joker can't really be classified as a "168澳洲幸运5开奖网:sword character," as he only has a dagger. He's got more range than characters without weapons, but there are plenty of fighters who can outrange him with their normal attacks. It isn't th💖e biggest flaw i🌌n the world, but it's noticeable when trying to land a particularly tricky combo.
It mostly adds to his difficulty level, as a competent Joker player will need to get his range down to a T and be able to land some pretty precise attacks. He's comparable to playing Sheik with a weapon, as he has the same issues of needing to be very preci𝓀se to play at an optimal level.
4 ASSET: Recovery ꦫ
Similarly to Cloud, Joker has two different up-specials he can utilize to safely make it back to the stage. Unlike Cloud, however, Joker actually has a great recovery.𒈔 His regular up-special that uses the grappling hook goes quite far, and a tether-cancel can be used to further mix up his recovery.
Arsene's Wings ไof Rebellion may not be able to yoink opponents out of the air, but it comes in as a very clutch option to save Joker all the way from the edge of the blast zone. Adding to the extreme distance, it also has invincibility on startup that can make it extremely annoying to edgeguard him.
3 FLAW: Getting KO𝄹's Without Arsene
Upon release, many players opted to put regular 'ol Joker in the middle of the cast in terms♋ of viability, but the community quickly found out just how powerful he can be. His speed and combo game alone is enough to make him an amazing character, but Joker can struggle to take stocks without the help of his Persona.
Joker's smash attacks arꩵe a little below average in terms of power, even if he has the means to combo into them. It certainly isn't required to get Arsene for KOs, but opponents may often li⭕ve past 130% otherwise.
2 ASSET: Makarakarn & Tetrakarn 𝔉
There are plenty of characters in the game with a counter (many players would argue that there's too ma🌳ny), but Joker, without a doubt, has one of the best. Like Palutena, Joker's counter has a sweet 2-in-1 deal where it acts a✨s both a physical counter and projectile reflector as Tetrakarn and Makarakarn.
What makes that counter so great is its absolutely massive hitbox, allowing it to completely outshine all other counters. It'll frequently hit opponents below a platform and is also a stellar edgeg▨uarding tool. The only nerf this move received was to Makarakarn's ability to reflect projectiles that deal 50% damage or more, so it'll likely continue to stand at the very top.
1 💧 FL♛AW: Camping Arsene
This is an issue that good players will be able to effectively deal with, but it can become a real annoyance. Since, like Cloud's Limit, Arsene is active on a timer, some players will opt to run away and camp Joker until Arsene is gon🧔e, which is actually a viable strategy, even if it's a bit lame🌼.
Faster characters and those with projectiles will obviously hᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚave an easier time doing this, but Joker players may have to spend a good chunk of time trying to chase do🅘wn their opponents to make the best use of Arsene. This isn't to say that Joker loses to camping at all, it's just quite annoying.
