With the addition of portals to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, people a✱re using the level creator to make their fights into something st♈raight out of an anime.

Last week, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate received its 3.0.0 update. In addition to bug fixes and all the other stuff that normally comes with a mainline update, Smash Bros. received ꦦa new feature: a ꦬlevel creator that allows anyone to make their own custom battlegrounds.

It didn’t take long for the Smash Bros. universe to become filled with maps that made suggestive outlines of a person’s crotch or long-dead internet memes. It was basically like the Miiverse situation all over again, and got to the point where Nintendo had to step in and begin moderating the maps being a🐻dded.

While the stage builder allowed anyone to make terrain in whatever shape they wanted (and they did, boy howdy, they did), it also came with a bunch of hazards and too꧑ls that could be placed around the map. Those hazards included things like cannons, springs, bumpers, and ladders, as well as special “warp zones”.

The warp zones were basically portals that connect one area o💖f the map to another. Step in one portal, arrive at wherev💙er the other portal is placed.

This has allowed some enterprising and skilled level builders to create enormous aerial combos that look like they’re straight out of Dragon Ball Z, as this Twitter user demonstrates.

Or it could be used to create an incredibly long powerb🍌omb,🌳 courtesy of Twitter user @AMM_OwO.

Throw in some bumpers, cannons, and some lava, and you can chain together some truly insane combos without ever touching the g🧸round.

This isꦬ just the start. We’re sure that after a few months someone will have completely filleꦆd the screen with portals and chained together a 500 hit combo.
