We recently reported that Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu & Let’s Go Eevee had the biggest-selling first week of any game on the Nintendo Switch, with three million copies being sold worldwide. These sales numbers instantly entered the Let’s Go games into the top five best-selling games on the Nintendo Switch and set to swiftly scale to top once the 2018 holida🤡y numbers start to come in.

It seems that Pikachu & Eevee will be facing stiff competition from another game that they appear in, as Nintendo’s Twitter page is reporting that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the best pre-selling game on the Nintendo Switch, as well being the best pre-selling Super Smash Bros. game of all time.

If these pre-order claims are true, then it seems as if Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has the numbers to beat the Let's Go games during the same initial sales period.

The Super Smash Bros. games started out strong in terms of sales, with the first Super Smash Bros. game ending with 5.55-lifetime sales. The series really started to heat up with Super Smash Bros. Melee, which hit 7.09 million sales and became the b🌳est-selling game on the Nintendo GಞameCube.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl managed to hit 13.27 million sales, which wღas helped by the fact that it was༺ on the massively popular Nintendo Wii.

Super Smash Bros. 3DS/Wii U didn't beat Brawl's numbers individually, but they🍌 b❀roke 14 million when combined and also made a lot of money through DLC sales.

The best-selling game on the Nintendo Switch as of the time of writing is Super Mario Odyssey, which has sold 12.7 million sales so far. This means that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will have to beat Brawl's numbersꦐ if it wants to become the best-selling game on the Nintendo Switch.

Is it possible for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to take the crown away from Super Mario Odyssey? It's safe to say that Ultimate has the most ♓impressive roster of any fighting game in existence, with a base selection of 74 different characters, which is a stark contrast to the fighting games put out by other companies (like Capcom) who nickel and dime the fans every step of the way for new content.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is shaping up to be one of the greatest fighting games of all time and has a roster that equates to the biggest video game crossover of all time, so there is a strong chance that Ultimate has𒆙 what it takes to become the best-selling Nintendo Switch game by the end of꧙ the 2018 holiday season.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be available for the Nintendo Switch on Dece꧃mber 7th, 2018.
