At long last, the legendary Man of Steel is back on the big screen. Superman, from writer and director 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:James Gunn, is officially in theaters, kicking open the door on a new cinematic universe from DC Stu🦩dios.

While not technically the first project in the studio’s༺ Gods and Monsters franchise, it’s the highest-profile release to date, a🅰nd has its work cut out when it comes to framing the future of this universe.

Warning: The following contains spoilers for the end of Superman. If you haven’t seen the new DC Studios film, this is your last warning to tu🔯rn away before learning how it ends.

The film drops us into a world where Superman (David Corenswet) has been saving the world for around three years, establishing himself in Metropolis as both a superhero and Daily Planet journalist, Clark Kent. As every trailer – and practically all of Superman’s𒁃 history – might lead you to suspect, this Man of Steel is pitted against Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) with the world on the line.

The movie gives us a number of DC superheroes and villains, including Guy Gardner (Green Lantern), Hawk Girl, Mister Terrific, and Metamorpho, and we even get a quick peek at Peacemaker, who is seen on a talk show badmouthing Superman. Not a bad way to let the world know Peacemaker Season 2 is on its way to HBO Max Max HBO Max. It even introduces Superman’s robots, a relic of the ‘50s and ‘60s comic books. And yet, none of those characters are anywhere near as 🧔notable as one surprise appearance.

In the final moments – af♉ter Superman, his fello🐬w superheroes, Lois Lane, and the rest of his Metropolis gang have saved the world and proven Lex Luthor to be a supervillain – we hear a commotion as none other than Supergirl smashes her way into the Fortress of Solitude.

T🌱his is our first real look at Milly Alcock’s portrayal of the character, who will get her own movie next year. In the scene, we see that Kara is a bit of a party girl who likes to get wasted on other plane๊ts. You see, yellow suns cause Kryptonians to not get drunk from alcohol, and we can’t have that.

More importantly, we learn a secret about Krypto. He’s not Superman’s dog after all. Clark was dogsitting for Kara while she was off partying. Suddenly, Krypto’s hilariously aggressive nature makes sense after you’ve watched his owner roll arouꦓnd on the floor wrestling with him.

It’s a quick scene, with Kara departing to go do ꦇwhatev𒉰er it is she does when not partying in space. Meanwhile, Clark sits down to recharge in the sunlight as the movie ends.

But What About The Post-Credits Scenes

Superman does have two post-credits sc🎀enes, though neither of them is a shocking revelation about what’s to come.

Instead, we get two sweet little moments. In the first, which plays in the mid𒅌dle of the credits, Superman and Krypto are sitting together in space, with Krypto proving to be a♓ very good boy as he hugs the Man of Steel. The second scene, after the credits have wrapped, sees Superman and Mister Terrific working together to restore Metropolis. When Superman suggests a crack in a building isn’t quite perfect, Mister Terrific walks away.

At the very least, I’m h꧙olding out hope we get to see those two together in movies again.
