That being said, let's take a look at this.

Unfortunately, super intelligence is something that is not as obviously displayed as Supes' other qualities, but hey, that doesn't mean that it's not there. This grants Kal-El invaluable perceptiveness and tactical awareness that far exceeds any supercomputer.

For example, in Man of Steel, his quick adaptation to Kryptonian technology and understanding of the Phantom Zone reflect a higher level of cognitive functioning. Except for maybe Batman or the Flash, there's not a lot of superheroes out there that could pull something like that off.

Every single combat scene of his in the movies also shows that Superman puts a lot of strategic thinking into his attacks (except smashing the truck in Man Of Steel, that was just a pissed off alien-dude trying to get even). Or even take a look at Dawn Of Justice, and you can see him putting his brainy-ness to use while being a journalist for the Daily Planet. Guy's a genius for sure. It's not just as blatant as it should be. Hopefully the new Legacy movie changes this?

However, this also means that in the absence of a yellow sun, his healing abilities would be significantly diminished. But then again, that's on earth. Take Krypton, for example, which had a red sun. None of this would be REMOTELY possible back there. Good thing it blew to bits, cause if Superman's storyline was set on that planet, it'd just be called.... Man.
