The show’s newest episode, the remotely produced Mythic Quest: Quarantine, is set to air next week.

While the series is currently on hold, like much of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Hollywood, co-creator and star Rob McElhenney decided to take advantage of the current situation to present a unique episode that could encapsulate the new reality of virtual work.“Lots of workplaces are figuring out this whole working-from-home thing, and the gaming industry is no different. Virtual meetings are a new and special kind of hell, so I think people wওill relate,” said McElhenney. “Yes, we’ve all had low points, but there have also been incredible moments of triumph and we wanted to celebrate that."

The description of the episode simply states, "As the MQ staff works from home, Poppy struggles with solitude while Brad and David start a charitable competition." The episode's teaser gives a brief look into what to expect, displaying the Mythic Quest employees as they eaꦍch manage the work from home lifestyle iꦦn their own way. Longbottom (F. Murray Abraham) fumbles with the technology as David (David Hornsby) tries to keep the meeting from running off the rails.“We needed to shoot this episode fast without sacrificing quality," said McElhenney. "Thankfully, we’re living in a time when everyone’s got a camera in their pocket. Having an iPhone coupled with the ingenuity of our crew, allowed us to make this unique piece of television in just days. We hope people enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it.”

The brainchild of the creator of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet takes place at a game development studio. He workplace comedy follows Ian Grimm (Rob McElhenney), creative director of the extremely popular online role-playing game Mythic Quest, and his other developers as they plan to release Raven’s Banquet, the first major exp꧑ansion for the game. They include Poppi (Charlotte Nicdao), the lead developer; Brad (Danny Pudi), the head of monetization; C.W. Longbottom, the unsuccessful fantasy writer; and David who attempts to keep things running smoothly, despite his coworkers’ disdain for one another.

McElhenney received inspiration for the show from Ubisoft, whose repre🅷sentatives consulted with him about the show’s concept. The company designed some of the fictional video game characters and world utilized by the show and advised on oth🌳er minor details and terminology.

The special quarantine episode is a clever way to reach viewers, by adhering to the guidelines in a way that still makes sense in the universe of the show. The series not only includes many in-jokes and references for gamers and those affiliated with the gaming industry but also includes a♕ lot of good content that references modern workplace culture in general, which makes it accessible to a wider audience than just video game fans.

Mythic Quest: Quarantine will air on Apple TV May 22.
