Could it really be true? A Swedish retailer called Init has a listing up for the Metroid Prime Trilogy on Switch with a June 19th 2020 release date.

Rumor and leaks have been floating around about a Metroid Prime Trilogy on Switch for years. In fact, according to168澳洲幸运5开奖网: former G𓄧ame Informer editor Imran Khan🀅, wꦡork on the collection is long since completed. In January he tweeted that it was .

It's suspected that the trilogy is being held back until such time that it can be used to promote the upcoming Metroid Prime 4, a game like🅘ly still has a lot of production time ahead of it.

First announced during E3 2017, Metroid Prime 4's development was halted and restarted at Retro Studios in January 2019. Since then, evidence of a Metroid Prime Trilogy has been building.

Last April, Twitter user 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:@Wario64 leaked screenshots from a Best Buy employee terminal that showed a SKU number for Metroid Prime Trilogy. Last month, a listing for t🧸he ไgame appeared briefly on Best Buy's website.

That brings us to November 2019 when a reputable leaker named LeakyPanda said that the game would be coming out the following month. This lines up with what Imran said this past January, but whether he was citing LeakyPanda or not is unknown. What we do know is Metroid Prime Trilogy still has not received any official word from Nintendo that it eꦯven exists.

Now, the Swedish retailer Init is selling preorders for the game with a June 19th release date. The page for the game has temporary box art and a link to the trailer for the original Metroid Prime Trilogy release on the Wii U from 2015.

We've had our heart broken by these rumors one too many times, but a June 19th release does sound somewhat plausible. E3 has been canceled and Nintendo hasn't hosted a proper Direct at all this year. Now it seems that tꦺhey don't intend to do the traditional livestream any time soon, but the fact remains that Nintendo's 2020 release schedule has been incredibly sparse, with nothing major on the horizon. A highly anticipated title like Metroid Prime Trilogy would certainly hold some people over until the next big a🔜nno💜uncement. We're hopeful, but remaining suspicious until there's more information.
