Who would want a Nintendo Switch that doesn't… Switch? Well, more people than you might have thought, as it turns out. The Nintendo 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Switch Lite is doing quite well for itself after all.

As Dual Shockers reports, the Lite seems to be building momentum much like its bigger brother. As it turns out, the system's launch was more impressive than expected. Nintendo just published the details of its profits from July to September and the numbers reveal that jus🌌t shy of two million Switch Lites were sold during that period. Considering that the new system was launched 🌺on September 20, that marks an impressive ten days for the Lite!

With numbers like that, there's no doubt that the Switch is really making a name for itself. Some thought it was💝 a technologically inferior, gimmicky system (Nintendo does have a bit of track record). It's also true that it didn't immediately hit the ground running in March 2017. The naysayers have been proven wrong, though.

The hybrid handheld has been going from strength to strength lately. It's got huge exclusives like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario Odyssey. Some of the biggest games in the world have also hopped over to join the party (the most recent example being 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Overwatch). Nobody is saying the system doesn't have its issues (can we have home screen themes sometime before the ne🙈xt Millen✨nium?), but the Switch sure is ticking along nicely just now.

Naturally, Nintendo being Nintendo, the Switch Lite family was going to be introduced before long. The company has a habit of de♓veloping various revisions of its handhelds and Switch is essentially a handheld, after all. This is especially true of the Lite, which can only be played portably.

You can see the reaso🥃ning here. Many gamers favor the handheld capabilities of the Switch over its docked mode. Making it lighter, a little smaller, and more comfortable to hold was the way forward for some Nintendo fans. Even with the cheaper price point in mind, the fact remains that the Lite is a downgrade from the base system (lacking the docking function entirely) when some users were hoping for a Switch Pro instead.
