This month saw the release of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nintendo Switch OLED model and all anyone can talk about is that beautiful new screen. While the console doesn’t offer 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:too many new bells and whistles as compared to its predecessor, it does offer a vibrant 7” OLED screen that brings vivid colors and crisp con🌱trast to handheld gaming. Of course, as with any new and expensive gad🔯get, people want to know how durable that pretty OLED screen is. Unfortunately, a recent durability test shows that OLED Switch owners may need to invest in a good screen protector.

When the OLED version of the Switch initially released back on October 8, many noticed a thin, protective film already encasing the screen. While some removed the screen, it turns out 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:you shouldn’t do that. In the manual for the new Switch, Nintendo lets people knowꦦ that the model includes a protective layer called an anti-scattering adhesive film. This extra layer is meant to stop the glass from breaking off in big and dangerous pieces, should t💯he screen break. It also offers slight protection from scratches and wear and tear.

So, if Nintendo added a built-in screen protector to the Switch, exactly how “breakable” is that new OLED screen? Well, YouTuber and tech reviewer went through the trouble of finding that out, so you don’t have to. As it turns out, the new screen is incredibly easy to scratch, getting only two points on the hardness scale. In fact, even a quarter is hard enough to scratch that beautiful 7” screen. This is bad news for those that take their Switch on the go and tend to have it🐻 in bags or pockets with other items like coins or keys.

However, what is interesting about the “scratchability” of the screen is that the pre-installed protective layer may be doing more harm tha𒆙n good. The film𒐪 that is stuck to the actual OLED screen is so tightly adhered that it would be almost impossible to remove without damaging the screen itself. So, we may never know how durable that actual OLED screen actually is.

The biggest takeaway from all of this is the💧 fact that if you were lucky enough to nab one of those OLED models you should definitely invest in a screen protector for it.
