But if you haven't found the lanterns that let you fast travel or just want to see the sights while working on your next ques🍰t, why not travel in style with your own horse? Howeve✃r, you won't be buying them from a reputable seller. Luxuries like horses are in short supply, and you'll have to take one from someone else.
How To Get A Mount
The earliest place you can get a horse is located in the Horns Of The South region, and you can find the horse beneath the King's Road bridge that cuts through most of the region.
From the Horns Of The South Keep, head north along the main road, then go east before you reach the Forgotten Cemetery and continue following the road past the Archspire.
If you go to the Hunter's Camp, you can speak with Margh and start the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dead As Dreams side quest, which counts towards gaining favor with Fearghas for the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:main quest, Shadow Over The Horns.
When you hit the Archspire's fast travel point, go northeast a few steps to where the bridge has collapsed in the center. Beneath there, you'll find a small campsite with some crates and barrels to loot, a Desperate Peasant enemy, and a single horse near a tent.
If you go to the front of the horse, you'll have an option to pet them, but if you stand next to the saddle, you'll have a new prompt to mount Świerkoń.
If you've already gone to the second region, Cuanacht, there are three other horses you can get: one by a Disgraced Knight enemy near the southern bridge, and Daisy and Clover, next to the Farmlands fast travel point, but taking those two is considered stealing.
Daisy can be bought for 300 or 250 Gold if you go to Rob and Gil's house at the Farmlands, witness the scene between them, then speak with Ro🐼b about it.
This will now give you permanent access to that horse as a mount, and it can be called in most locations by opening the Quick Use Menu, then selecting the horse icon on the left.
Horses share most of the same controls as you, with Sprint and Jump being the same before, the ability to move backwards to change direction or slow down, but you can't attack while mounted.
There are other horses to find besides Świerkoń and the Disgraced Knight's horse, and the current horse you call will be overwritten when you mount a new one.
For the most part, you'll want to use the camera to control the horse's direction, but if you need to turn quickly or in place, it's best to use the Left Stick or keys assigned for movement, and the Secondary Action dismounts you.
Any horse you find has a faster walk and sprint speed than you, allowing some fairly fast land traversal, unless you're significantly investing in movement speed via the Skill Tree or with accessories that boo🐻st it.
They also allow you to move quickly while encumbered, making them great for getting around with an inventory full of loot to sell to a merchant.
