Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon🅰 - How To Romance Beor
Love works in mysterious ways.
One of the many things you can do in this game is mining, an activity that will prove to be extremely useful for you in the long run. Keep in mind that the better your equipment is, the fewer chances you have of dying at the hands of monster✅s, skeletons, or worse, humans.
How To Get A Pickaxe
To mine in this game, you'll first need to find a Pickaxe; by the point when you are done with the Island Asylum section, you should already have at least come across one or two, but here's where to find♔ more if you missed themꦕ.
- Once you land on Avalon's shores, keep walking up the road until the path splits; you'll see a giant, ruined King Arthur statue on the path to the right, and a man named Horst will be mining its glowing material. Besides him, there will be a wooden cart with an extra Pickaxe you can get for free.
- After you enter the Keeper's Fortress, look to your right from the entrance, and you'll see a shop set up. There's a vendor called Orlain, who will sell you one for 16 Gold.
It is advised to keep at least one Pickaxe in your stash, as sometimes you'll need to drop a heavy weap✤on if you're o✨verencumbered.
How To Find The Ore Veins
Once you have a Pickaxe in your inventory, you must find a vein of any kind, and you'll receive a prompt that will trigger a mining animation; after three hits on the vein, you'll receive the corresponding loot. The ore veins can be found scattered throughout the map, inside dungeons, mines, and outside towns or fortresses.
Keep in mind that you don't need to have the Pickaxe equipped to be able to mine, only have it in♎ the inventory.
Mining will automatically equip the pickaxe, so you must change back to your weapons, otherwise, you might be defenseless against monsters. There are multiple types of Ores and metals you can mine, and they'll be recognizable by the color of the stone in the veins:

Why Should You Mine?
Mining has one particular use for you, as Ores are quite necessary for crafting your own weapons and armor down the line. Once you reach the Keeper's Fortress, you will eventually unlock the forge by interacting with the blacksmith Osbryth, and once you can use the crafting table, mining will become crucial to craft and upgrade equipment pieces for your character.
It is highly recommended to follow any side quest Osbryth gives you, as it'll help you understand the mechanics of Crafting in this game.
