While most ofꦬ these are just lore drops to help you better understand the world, there are some that will start quests and send you off into the world with a purpose.

Sometimes it takes a while to learn forgiveness.
One of 🗹these quests starts in the Island Asylum, which you can very easily miss if you r💮ush through the prologue. We'll help you slow down and find these notes so you can help a grieving husband put his wife's memory to rest.
How To Start The Unforgettable Quest
From your starting cell on the Asylum Island, turn left and go to the end of the hall. There's a dead guard here pinned to a chair. Open the gate beside him to enter a storage room.
You'll find a chest sitting on the floor in the back. Inside is an old letter you can pick up. Read it to learn the last thoughts of Katrin, a pregnant woman seized by the Red Priests for having the plague.
As you progress through the dungeon, you'll come to another gate with two skeletons chained to the wall. This cell is just past the one filled with undead and the one that holds the Wyrdboar skull.
In this room, you can pick up the notes from a Red Priest that detail the torture done to Katrin and her unborn son. Upon learning the truth, the quest Unforgettable starts, but there are no hints as to where you go next. Your only hint is that Katrin's husband is named Erfyr.
Where To Find Katrin's Husband
You won't be able to do much until you reach act two in Cuanacht. Here, in this land of eternal autumn, you'll need to make your way to the lower city region. Upon visiting, head to the northwestern corner of the city to reach the craftsman's quarters.
Find the blacksmith here, though he won't be outside. You'll need to enter Erfyr's house to meet with him, though h🅷e won't wꦜant to talk much.
How To Complete The Change Of Heart Quest
Before you can talk to Erfyr about his wife, you'll need to help him save his apprentice Beor. Apparently, Beor was lured to a nearby cave by a girl he fell in love with, but he came back different and hasn't been the same. Erfyr is afraid the boy is dying and sends you to find out what really happened.
Head west of town, past the fields and along the path, to reach the cave. Outside are a handful of deserters and peasants🌼 tainted by the Wyrd. Dispatch them quickly and head inside the caveꦦ.
Feel free to explore and loot the cave. You'll find multiple notes left by lovers and concerned fami🦹lies, as wellꦏ as lots of alcohol.
As you wind through the cave, a woman's voice will call after you. She believes you to be Beor and lures you deeper into the cave. Follow the winding path to the pool above the water꧟fall. Here you'll find the source of the voice, and it's no woman.
A Fae creature waits for you and attacks on sight. Try to keep your distance and use throwing knives to deal damage from afar. When you defeat the wyrdbeast, make sure to loot the body to get Beor's heart.
Bring it back to Erfyr and he'll place it in Beor's chest. The two will talk about what happened and share in a good laugh before the quest ends.
Erfyr will now reoﷺpen the smithy so you'll find him outside.
Should You Tell Erfyr The Truth About Katrin?
After Beor recovers from his attack, you can speak to Erfyr outside. You won't be able to give him the letter directly at first. You'll need to gently ask about his family and what happened to them, so make sure to exhaust the dialogue options you have with him.
Be sure not to losꦺe the letter from Katrin! You'll need to have it in your inventory.
When you give him the letter, he's upset but expected as much. He rewards you with a health ring 🐷and sends you on your way. This doesn't change things for him, but it solidifies his resolve even further.
