With this, what you need to do is apply the burn status effect on the Strawfather and this can be done by firing a fire spell multiple times or continuously attacking w🐲ith a fire-infused weapon until the meter is filled.
After this is done, you will be able to see that the hay on the Strawfather will be burning and then removed, however, multiple small Strawhay enemies will spawn from it so you need to be prepared to defeat them.
