Where To Find The Wailing Efigy Boss
Inside the Island Asylum, cross the bridge past the locked Laboratory door.෴ Head down the stairs to where a Red Priest awa🐻its you. Unless Caradoc got to him first, you'll have to eliminate him.
Take the bow and arrows from his body! You'll need them.
At the base of the stairs, take a right to another set of stairs. Follow the steps down to a locked door. This is where you'll want to sa🍃ve, just in ca꧅se things go south.
Once you open the door, a cutscene will start that shows the Wailing Efigy. He's someone who has reached the last stages of the Red Death, having been warped beyond recognition.
How To Beat The Wailing Efigy Boss
The Wailing Efigy is a big lad, and he carries a powerful greatsword with a far reach. He also has the Burning Embers spell, so he can still throw balls of f🀅ire if you try to keep your distance.
The best thing to do here is use your own spells and arrows. Putting the pillars between you and moving in circles will help you stay out of range and better see the Wailing Efigy's movement. When he lunges with the sword, you can get in close for a few strikes before retreating.
While most attacks can be blocked by the sto൩ne pillars, sometimes the spells will go through or around!
The Wailing Efigy has a lot of stamina, but you can bring him down with a slow and steady approach. Once he's down, loot his body for a note explaining how he got there and a set of armor.
The Grief-Torn Armor is a great piece to have for those 🎉first early hours in the game. It increases your maximum healt🍒h, which is imperative for surviving the Wyrdnight to come.
