Bosses appear so often in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Tales of Arise that, at times, it💙 feels as though you face more of them than regular enemies. In fact, there are so many boss fights that their screen 🦹time sits at around seven hours. The game follows Alphen, who leads powerful allies when setting out to dethrone the Renan Lords, releasing their oppression over the Dahnans.
What initially follows this basic premise splits into a much more complicated story, where party members discover the truth of their origins, abilities, and at times their futures. These paths take the team to widespread locations, where they fight these vexing Lords and their Zeugle companions. Unfortunately, we can't rank all of their boss battles, but we can share the best of the best.
10 ꦯ Grand Gnome And Vas Phein
Grand Gnome is an optional boss you fight during the Spirit Temple side quest. However, it isn't as simple as it seems. Before you can fight either Grand Gnome or Vas Phein, 168澳洲幸运5开🌌奖网:you must tackle waves of regular enemies until Vas Phein appears. From here, you'll fight the dragon, preferably using 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:boost attacks to stun them.
After Vas Phein is defeated, you will finally be able to attack Grand Gnome's now exposed exterior, killing him and ending the fight. It's pretty similar to other dragon bosses in the game, but the enemy waves mechanic significantly elevates its enjoyability.
9 🍌 Lord Dohalim
Lord Dohalim is one of six party members, and one of the Renan Lords you set out to dethrone. While he turns out to be a compassionate man who isn't power-hungry like other Renan Lords, you will still have to fight him. The story later explains why Dohalim attacks the party.
During the two phases of his battle, he will mainly use 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:mystic artes and hard-hitting melee attacks. The difficulty spike seen in other boss battles isn't present here, as Lord Dohalim is unusually easy to defeat, although this doesn't detract from the entertainment of the fight.
8 Lord Balseph ✤
As the first main boss of the game, Lord Balseph has to make a terrific first impression. He does all of this and more. Balseph is an introduction to the proceeding bosses, and how the difficulty ramps during these battles. The fight also lets the player know how differently you'll have to approach bosses compared to regular enemy battles.
His attacks consist of sweeping his ax and dealing heavy damage with explosive artes, and he tends to be espe🧔cially leꦑthal when you stick close to his side.
7 Chronos
Another optional boss only available during a sub-quest is Chronos, who can be found in the Otherworldly Visitors quest. Before reaching him, you'll have to fight a few other enemies, with Chronos being the last boss of the mission. Fans of the Tales franchise will recognize the character from Tales of Xillia 2, where he acts as one of the game's primary antagonists.
As for his Tales of Arise counterpart, he's creepier than ever and a daunting boss fight for sure. You'll need to stay vigilant, reacting quickly and focusing on dodging and healing your teammates since it's easy to become overwhelmed by Chronos' barrage of attacks.
6 ꦡ Sovereign Vholran Igniseri
Sovereign Vholran isn't the first time you'll face the character, as he periodically appears through the story to fight Alphen and his friends. Because of his many boss fights, it becomes challenging to differentiate between them. This entry is focused on his appearance at Del Fharis Castle.
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The battle has two phases, the first being a deceptively easy fight and the second where Vholran goes all out to try and take you down. It's long and grueling, especially so if you're under the recommended level, and it will take a fair few attempts to beat. Sovereign Vholran isn't as good as his other fights, but it's an excellent preview of what's to come.
5 ൲ Edna And Eizen
Edna and Eizen are another set of bosses you face duringꩵ the Otherworldly Visitors quest, and you will have to face them simultaneously. Both favor quick and successive♈ attacks, and are especially susceptible to wind artes.
Facing both is no easy feat, as Edna and Eizen are relentless with their attacks. Fighting them is almost like sparring with one of your party members, making it 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:similar to the Lord Dohalim boss mentioned earlier. Seeing these characters re🔴turn in much 😼more than a simple cameo role is fantastic.
4 🌳 Mysterious Swordsman ꩲ
When you face the so-called Mysterious Swordsman, you're unaware of whom it could be. Later in the story, this Swordsman is revealed to be Lord Vholran. This is one of those 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:fights you don't stand a chance of winning; 🌺instead, your goal is to survive as long as possible. Do enough damage to the Swordsman, and a cutscene of him taking down your team with ease will ensue.
Because of its unbeatable nature, it's one of the shortest bosses in the game. However, brief as it may be, the combat and writing of this segment make it one of Tales of Arise's best.
3 ꦑ Lord Almeidrea And Mesmald ⛄
Almeidrea and Mesmald prove that two bosses are better than one, as this fight wouldn't have the same impact if you only had to face one of the pair. At the beginning of the battle, Almeidrea will stay atop Mesmald, making it impossible to hit her directly. After dealing enough damage to Mesmald, the two will separate and fight alone.
From here is where the real fight begins. It'll take everyone in your team to defeat the two, especially when Almeidrea casts 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:her devastating God's Breath attack. It's a long fight with a few different phases, but is a rewarding payoff once you finally knock them down and can take the wind master core.
2 Edna
It turns out cameos might be the key to great video game bosses, since this is the third one to appear on this list. While Edna and Eizen are much more difficult to defeat when working together, the solo fight against Edna is the better boss overall. Having one enemy to focus on, rather than multiple, helps avoid oversaturating the fight and keeps it grounded. Or, at least as grounded as possible for someone who waves an umbrella around like it's a sword.
You'll need to think fast, act fast, and employ combat tactics to your advantage, as brute strength alone won't be what gets you through. Edna is the stronger fighter, so it isn't a run-of-the-mill fight.
1 😼 Vholran Igniseri, The Final Boss ꧒
The final boss is also the best in Tales of Arise. Optional bosses indeed implement cameo characters exceptionally well, but this never overtakes the complexity seen in Vholran's final battle outing. At this point in the story, you'll have learned much more about the characters you've spent time with, and will undoubtedly have a newfound respect and admiration for them.
This includes the protagonist Alphen, where we see his and Vholran's feud flourish in all its glory. Like the other fights with this villain, there are multiple phases, each more challenging than the previous, and you'll have to use every party member to scrape through. Tales of Arise is a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:dialogue-heavy game, with the lines in Vholran's final showdown being particularly standout. A lot was riding on this fight; thankfully, it surpassed all expectations.
