How To Beat Venoflage In Tales Of Arise: Beyond The Dawn
As touched on above, Venoflage has a handful of gimmicks yo𝐆u must keep an eye out for unless♐ you want to get flattened in a split-second, leaving you wondering what just happened.
Furthermore, since Venoflage has no Weaknesses and isn't Resistant to anything, mostly any Party Combination will work, having us settle for the tried-and-true Alphen, Shionne, Rinwell, and Law setup. You will need a healer for this encounter, so make sure you have at least Shionne or Dohalim present.
Lastly, while spamming Boost Attacks the moment they come available may seem like a good idea, please refrain from using Alphen's or Kisara's until specified in the guide, as they are CRUCIAL to your success!
Phase One: Venoflage Invisibility & Reappearance
After the encounter begins and you get a few hits in, Venoflage will turn invisible before reappearing behind everyone in the Party, showcasing one of its gimmicks early on in the battle. You will remain locked onto them, but it can be a bit disorienting to deal with at first. But this will give you plenty of🌌 time to get used to it!
Phase One: Alphen Boost Break
Once Venoflage reappears, you should have Alphen's Boost Attack ready to go, so use it to cause a Boost Break, temporarily stunning Venoflage. Here, you can unleash everything you've got onto them, shaving away large chunks of their health!
Phase One: Venoflage Invisibility & Reappearance (Part Two)
When Venoflage recovers, they will do a few basic attacks before going invisible again and reappearing behind the group yet again. Like before, Venoflage won't do a follow-up attack here, so you don't have to worry about taking much damage here from them. Just run over toward them for the next step!
Phase One: Alphen Boost Break (Part Two)
Enough time has passed that Alphen should have his Boost Attack back, enabling him to cause another Boost Break, allowing him and the rest of the Party to unleash everything they have on them once more for enormous damage!
Phase One: Venoflage Poison Mist
Upon recovery, Venoflage will shake things up a bit and begin emitting Poison Mist from its body, covering a sizable area around itself. Avoid going near Venoflage here at all costs, as being Poisoned can be detrimental if not treated properly!
Poison can be Cured via Artes, Consumables, or by waiting for itওs effects t🌠o wear off naturally.
Phase One: Venoflage Invisibility & Reappearance (Part Three)
Next, Venoflage will go invisible yet again before reappearing behind your entire Party. Here, don't use a Boost Ability. Instead, use basic attacks and Artes to get its health down halfway after it reappears!
Phase One: Boost Strike To The Second Phase
With Venoflage's health down halfway, you must activate a Boost Strike, transitioning the encounter to the second phase, where Venoflage has several more abilities. But first, be sure to take advantage of them being temporarily stunned to chip away a sizable chunk of its health!
Phase Two: Venoflage Invisibility
After Venoflage recovers from the Boost Strike, it will turn invisible again before reappearing behind your party. However, something is a bit different...
Phase Two: Venoflage Roar & Charge
Once Venoflage reappears behind everyone after going invisible, they will let out a deafening roar before charging forward with tremendous force, speed, and power. This attack hurts if you get run over, so avoid 𓄧that at all costs!
Phase Two: Kisara Boost Break
To counter this attack, you can finally use Kisara's Boost Attack when Venoflage begins charging, having her place her shield down in front of him, causing a Boost Break. This will temporarily stun them as well, enabling you to follow up with an onslaught of attacks for substantial damage!
Phase Two: Venoflage Electric Mist & Electric Spit
Following that, Venoflage will begin releasing Electrified Mist from its body, which causes Paralysis to anyone it comes in contact with, which can spell disaster.
Not only that but immediately after releasing the Mist, Venoflage will begin launching blobs of Electrified Spit from its mou💫th toward you, forcing you to dodge them as well.
To avoid getting annihilated here, the moment you see Venoflage begin releasing the Electrified Mist, run away from it as far as you can, then turn around and run back in the opposite direction after they leap toward you. From there, you will only have to dodge the incoming blobs of Spit!
Paralysis can be Cured via Artes, Consumables, or by waiting for its effecꦦts to wꦉear off naturally.
Phase Two: Venoflage Stalagmite
Shortly after they launch the barrage of Electrified Secretions at you, Venoflage will begin casting Stalagmite, which is telegraphed by a Purple Circle that slowly fills up. When you see this circle appear, run behind or to the side of them immediately, as when it fills up completely, Venoflage will launch the attack straight ahead of itself.
Take this time to lay into Venoflage, as they are defenseless while casting Stalagmite and shortly after, giving you ample time to get lots of attacks in and 🍰deal substantial damage!
Phase Two: Venoflage Invisibility (Part Two)
Following that, Venoflage will go invisible yet again and will appear behind everyone as per usual. But don't get too close to them, as this is the second phase after all!
Phase Two: Venoflage Roar & Charge (Part Two)
Like last time, when Venoflage reappears, it will let out an enraged roar before charging around the arena, causing mass damage to 🍎anyone an♐d everything in its path!
Phase Two: Kisara Boost Break (Part Two)
And, just like last time again, it's time to finally use Kisara's Boost Strike again to cause another Boost Break, crumpling Venoflage to the floor, enabling you to unleash everything you have on it for significant damage!
Phase Two: Venoflage Electric Mist & Electric Spit (Part Two)
From here, Venoflage will begin emitting Electric Mist from its body before launching Electrified Spit at everyone again. This will be handled the same way, except Venoflage will begin moving backward while lobbing the blobs of spit at you, making it a bit trickier to dodge or close the gap on it!
Phase Two: Boost Strike For The Win
Finally, once Venoflage is done trying to hit you with Electrified Spit, you can close in on it and unleash the last few attacks you need to on it, bringing its health down the entire way, enabling you to perform the finishing Boost Strike to defeat it!
