As such, you cannot spam ꩲMystic Artes during encounters to steamroll your opponents. Furthermore, learning Mystic Artes can often be just as confusing as trying to understand the requirements needed to actually use them. Fortunately, you can find out how to learn and use every Mystic Arte for all party members below!

Lloyd Irving Mystic Artes

An image of Lloyd's Mystic Arte cut-in from Tales of Symphonia Remastered, showcasing him screaming as he plunges his sword downward.

Lloyd only has one Mystic Arte to learn in Tales of Symphonia Remastered. However, before you can lea꧒rn it, you will have to meet a few prerequisites, which you can find in the section below!

Requirements

  • Travel to Derris-Kharlan
  • Obtain the Title "Eternal Swordsman"
    • Unlocked automatically during the story.
  • Unlock and equip the Material Blade.
    • Obtained automatically after the events at Heimdall.

Once you have met the above requirements, you can finally perform Lloyd's Falcon's Crest Mystic Arte during an encounter. But that also has its own list of prerequisites you need to meet to execute the attack. To use Falcon's Crest in battle, you must have the Material Blade equipped on Lloyd, and his HP will have to fall to at least 16 percent. When this happens, press the Attack, Guard, and Tech buttons simultaneously to launch the Mystic Arte!

Colette Brunel Mystic Artes

An image of Colette's Mystic Arte cut-in from Tales of Symphonia Remastered, where she poses by sticking her tongue out and winking.

Colette also only has one Mystic Arte that has some prerequisites you need to tackle first to have the chance to cast it. So, before we get into what it is and how you can use it, let's briefly go over what you need to learn it. You can find everything you need to know in the following section!

Requirements

  • Release the Third Seal in Sylvarant to have Colette learn Holy Song.
    • Part of the critical path.
  • Make your way to the Tower of Salvation to have Colette learn Judgment.
    • Happens automatically during the story.
  • Use Holy Song 50 times during encounters.
  • Use Judgment 50 times during encounters.

With the above requirements met, you can finally cast Holy Judgment, which is Colette's Mystic Arte. However, there is one catch: it will come out randomly when using Holy Song or Judgment. So, if you want to use Colette's Mystic Arte, you will have to keep spamming both of those actions during encounters and hope one of those times summons the wrath of her Holy Judgment.

Genis Sage Mystic Artes

An image of Genis' Mystic Arte cut-in from Tales of Symphonia Remastered, having him raise his arms toward the sky and scream.

Genis follows a similar formula as those before him, only having access to one Mystic Arte that💫 requires you to meet specific requirements ꦗbefore you can unlock and use it. You can find the prerequisites to learning his Mystic Arte in the section below!

Requirements

  • Reach Level 9 with Genis to learn Lightning.
  • Reach Level 26. Then, with a Technical Build, use Lighting 50 times to learn Thunder Blade.
  • Reach Level 60. Then, with a Technical Build, use Thunder Blade 50 times to learn Indignation.
  • Use Indignation 50 times during encounters.

After meeting these requirements, Genis will learn Indignation Judgment, his Mystic Arte. To use Indignation Judgment in battle, Genis must cast Indignation while his Over Limit is active. To do this, you must gain Tension during an encounter, which happens when you are hit or when members of your party get KO'd. You can also give yourself Tension by consuming food the character likes. In this case, anything with Milk will work for Genis.

Raine Sage Mystic Artes

An image of Raine's Mystic Arte cut-in from Tales of Symphonia Remastered, having her wield her Staff and channel all her energy into the following attack.

Unlike the others thus far, Raine has access to two Mystic Artes rather than just one, both of which have specific requirements to unlock and use. We will first dive into everything needed to obtain her Sacred Shine Mystic Arte and will then dive into the details of her Fairy Circle Mystic Arte.

Sacred Shrine Unlock Requirements

  • Reach Level 16 with Raine to learn Photon.
  • Reach Level 46. Then, use Photon 50 times with either a Strike or Technical Build.
    • Strike Build unlocks Holy Lance, and a Technical Build unlocks Ray.
  • Use Ray or Holy Lance 50 times during encounters.

Now that you have the above requirements met, you can cast Sacred Shine during battle. To do this, Raine must be in her Over Limit, which can be done by raising her Tension during the encounter. This happens when getting hit or when your party members fall in battle, and it can also be impacted by eating food you like. In this case, anything with Lemon will work. Once in your Over Limit, cast either Ray or Holy Lance to get Sacred Shine instead!

Fairy Circle Unlock Requirements

  • Reach Level 26. Then, use First Aid 50 times with a Technical Build to learn Nurse.
  • Reach Level 41. Then, use Nurse 50 times with a Technical Build to learn Healing Circle.
  • Reach Level 50. Then, use Healing Circle 50 times with a Technical Build to learn Revitalize.
  • Use Revitalize 100 times during encounters.

You can now use Fairy Circle if you have met the above requirements, which also needs Raine to be in her Over Limit to activate. Once in her Over Limit, cast Revitalize to get Fairy Circle instead. You can learn more about Raine's Over Limit and how to access it in the section above that covers her Sacred Shine Mystic Arte!

Sheena Fujibayashi Mystic Artes

An image of Sheena's Mystic Arte cut-in from Tales of Symphonia Remastered, having her wield her Summon Card while shouting.

Sheena is vastly different than everyone else in the game, as she technically has access to 10 Mystic Artes, thanks to her Summons being her Mystic Artes. Throughout your playthrough, you will make pacts with these Spirits, allowing you to Summon them into battle with Sheena when she is in her Over Limit. Before we get into how to activate her Over Limit, let's cover all her possible Summons:

Sheena Summons

Summon

How To Get

Fire Spirit

Form a pact with Efreet.

Water Spirit

Form a pact with Undine.

Lightning Spirit

Form a pact with Volt.

Wind Spirit

Form a pact with Sylph.

Ice Spirit

Form a pact with Celsius.

Earth Spirit

Form a pact with Gnome.

Light Spirit

Form a pact with Luna and Aska.

Darkness Spirit

Form a pact with Shadow.

Origin Spirit

Form a pact with Origin.

Birth Spirit

Form a pact with Maxwell.

Whenever you have made a pact with any or all of the Spirits listed above, Sheena will be able to Summon them into battle when her Over Limit is active. Like the others, you will need to accumulate Tension while playing as Sheena to put her in this state, which can be influenced in various ways. Taking damage and having your party fall during battle will build Tension the quickest, but having a character eat their favorite food during an encounter will also help accrue Tension. For Sheena, anything with Rice will help activate her Over Limit!

Zelos Wilder Mystic Artes

An image of Zelos' Mystic Arte cut-in from Tales of Symphonia Remastered, having him rest his sword on his shoulder while looking dreamily at the camera.

Zelos has access to two Mystic Artes, both having unique requirements and activation methods, which we will cover in the sections below. The first Mystic Arte we will go over is his Holy Binds, with Divine Judgement immediately following!

Holy Binds Unlock Requirements

  • Reach Level 15. Then, use Demon Fange 50 times with either a Strike or Technical Build.
    • Strike Build unlocks Fierce Demon Fang, and a Technical Build unlocks Double Demon Fang.
  • Reach Level 23 with Zelos to learn Light Spear.
  • Reach Level 43. Then, use Light Spear 50 times with either a Strike or Technical Build.
    • Strike Build unlocks Light Spear Cannon, and a Technical Build unlocks Victory Light Spear.
  • Reach Level 50, then do the following actions depending on your Build to learn Demon Spear:
    • With a Strike Build, use Fierce Demon Fang and Light Spear Cannon 50 times a piece.
    • With a Technical Build, use Double Demon Fange and Victort Light Spear 50 times a piece.
  • Use Demon Spear 100 times during encounters.
  • You must also complete the Tower of Salvation Dungeon in Tethe'alla.

Tackling the long laundry list of requirements above will allow you to use Zelos' Holy Binds Mystic Arte during combat, but only when his health is at 16 percent or below while in his Over Limit state. Using Demon Spear while under these conditions will cast Holy Binds instead. Like always, you can influence a character' Over Limit state by accumulating Tension. This can be done by getting hit by the enemy, having your teammates die in battle, and eating your favorite food during an encounter. Anything with Melon, Snapper, and Tuna will work best for Zelon!

Divine Judgement Unlock Requirements

  • Follow the steps above to unlock the Holy Binds Mystic Arte for Zelos.
  • Use Zelos' Holy Binds at least once in an encounter to learn Judgment.
  • Use Judgment 20 times during encounters.

He can cast Divine Judgement by using Judgment while in his Over Limit state. You can learn more about how to influence his Oveജr Limit state in the section above that covers his Holy Binds Mystic Arte!

Presea Combatir Mystic Artes

An image of Presea's Mystic Arte cut-in from Tales of Symphonia Remastered, having her pose with her arms down while looking determined.

Presea joins the ranking of characters with access to two Mystic Artes, both of which have specific unlock and use conditions. The first one we will be covering is her Infernal Ruins Mystic Arte, which Crimson Devastation will then follow.

Infernal Ruins Unlock Requirements

  • Advance the story up through the point you give Presea a Key Crest in Meltokio.
  • Use Beast 100 times during encounters.
  • Have either a Level 3 EX-Gem or a Max Level EX-Gem fitted with the Mighty Charge Skill.

Thanks to the Might Charge Skill in Presea's EX-Gem, when she enters her Over Limit, she will receive a small buff that allows her to launch into her Infernal Ruins Mystic Arte by using Beast. Of course, like the others, you can impact her Over Limit by accruing Tension. This can be done by letting her get hit or having your party members fall in battle. Typically, consuming the character's favorite food in an encounter will also help, but Presea is indifferent to all recipes.

Crimson Devastation Unlock Requirements

  • Follow all the steps from the Infernal Ruins Steps above, except use Beast 200 times instead of 100.

Crimson Devastation is unlocked and activated very similarly to Infernal Ruins. The only difference is the number of times Beast needs to be used and the battle conditions Presea needs to be in to use the Mystic Arte. To use Crimson Devastation, all other party members must be KO'd, Prescea's HP needs to be down to at least 16 percent, and she needs to be in her Over Limit state. Under these circumstances, if she casts Beast, the Crimson Devastation Mystic Arte will come out instead.

Regal Bryant Mystic Artes

An image of Regal's Mystic Arte cut-in from Tales of Symphonia Remastered, having him raise his chained hands up while grimacing.

Regal dials things back a bit, as he only has access to one Mystic Arte. In the sections below, we will go over how to obtain it and the battle conditions needed to execute it during an encounter. Like all others, you must meet speꦍcific req൩uirements to acquire and use it.

Requirements

  • Progress through the story until you uncover the President of the Lezareno Campany's identity.
  • Reach Level 53 with Regal to learn Force.
  • Use Force 100 times during encounters.

Bryant can activate Fanged Finality by entering his Over Limit state and landing a combo that consists of three Tech followed by Force to close it out. The general strategy here is asඣ follows:

  • Ground-based Tech > Anti-Air Tech > Air-based Tech > Force
  • Air-based Tech > Anti-Air Tech > Ground-based Tech > Force

Furthermore, building up Tension will propel a character into their Over Limit state. This can be done by having them take hits in encounters or having teammates die during combat. You can also have them eat their favorite food to influence their Tension. In Regal's case, anything with Tofu will suffice.

Kratos Aurion Mystic Artes

An image of Kratos' Mystic Arte cut-in from Tales of Symphonia Remastered, having him channel his energy into his sword.

Last and certainly not least, we have Kratos, who only has access to one Mystic Arte. As with all the others, accessing and using this Arte requires you to tackle a few things beforehand, so let's jump straight into it!

Requirements

Slight as the requirements may seem, this can trip many people up and may call for a second playthrough on New Game Plus to get. Nonetheless, after you have the Title, you can perform Holy Binds during encounters, but only under a few abnormal conditions. First, Lloyd cannot be wielding the Material Blade in combat (removing him from the party also works). Secondly, Kratos must have 16 percent or less HP left. When these conditions are met, pressing the Tech, Attack, and Guard buttons simultaneously will activate Holy Binds!
