While, on the surface, they may seem inconsequenti♊al or lim🥂ited, the more you advance through the story and start obtaining more of them, you will quickly understand their power.

The primary goal of using Titles is to focus on specific Skills for your party members, allowing you to enhance their Tech and overall performance in battle. However, some Titles have no impact on your Stats at all but instead change the character's Outfit, enabling you to customize their appearance if you are okay with sacrificing the benefits they typically offer.

Titles Overview

Before we dive into every character's Titles and how to obtain them, let's briefly cover their general purpose and why they're so crucial to Tales of Symphonia. Titles are one of many ways to increase specific Stats for your party members, allowing you to hone in on particular Stats that will benefit that character in combat encounters. Furthermore, Titles do more than just increase the value of your Stats. They also grant additional bonuses toward those Stats when you level up, allowing them to grow faster than average.

However, you may also run into situations where some Titles will have a negative impact on some Stats, making the growth of those particular Stats much slower than usual. The effect a Title has on your Stats is color-coded and easily discernable, but we will give you the rundown of what they 🐻are and what they mean below!

Green: Enhances the growth of the Stat, allowing it to level up much faster than average.
Gray: There are no enhancements or negative impacts on the Stat. It will level up at its average rate.
Red: Negatively impacts the growth of the Stat, making it level up much slower than average.

Additionally, your Stats will only grow and level up alongside the character's level, so you will have to defeat enemies and rank up to put these Titles' benefits to use. Keep this in mind, as when you reach the higher levels, it will become increasingly harder to rank up, so you should focus on the Stats you want to level up first for specific characters for specific builds.

One last thing of note is that there are Titles that will change the Outfit of the character. However, these Titles have no positive or negative effects on Stats, so they should only be used if you are comfortable with your current build and Stat levels. While some of the Outfits are great, you do not want to throw away free Stat growth in exchange for fancier threads. Unless, of course, you do. Then, in that case, we say, 'knock your socks off!'

Lloyd is the main protagonist in Tales of Symphonia Remastered and has a whopping 29 Titles to obtain, with nine being completely missable. Being an integral part of the story, Zelos has access to 18 Titles, with a whopping 16 being missable. Like Zelos, Presea is another party member you meet in Meltokio. She has 17 Titles, seven of which are entirely missable, so be sure to seek those out as soon as possible. Unlike Zelos, Presea is a permanent member of your party after she joins, so you don't have to worry about losing her due to making specific decisions. Regal Bryant Titles

Keeping in line with the past couple of characters, Regal also runs into the party when they're in Meltokio but doesn't actually join them until they reach Mizuho. Like Presea, Regal has 17 Titles, five of which are missable. Make sure to focus on these Titles as soon as possible to avoid missing out on them. And, like the others, the Titles explicitly marked are the missable ones.

Kratos Aurion Titles

Despite being such a crucial member of the story, Kratos has the fewest number of Titles, coming in with 12 total Titles. He also has nine missable Titles, but you will have to make a crucial decision near the end of the game if you want to obtain them. In order to get all of Kratos' Titles, you will need to have him rejoin your party at the tail end of the game, which will have Zelos leave your party permanently.

To get Kratos to rejoin your party, you must get his Affection up throughout the story before he departs. Then, proceed through the game until you reach Flanoir. Three party members will ask you to walk with them while staying at the hotel. Decline all of them to have Kratos call you from outside your window, having him join your party from that moment onward.
