Gong Overview In Tekken 8
Gong is the first region you will visit in Tekken 8's Arcade Quest, kickstarting your Avatar's local tournament run. In this area, you will learn the general flow and outline of the mode's six chapters and be introduced to Treasure Box Fights, Challenges, and even Boss Encounters.
Outside of the Main Mission, indicated by a Blue Exclamation Point, you will see icons above the other Avatars in Gong. The table below will outline the various icons, their meaning,✃ and the benefits they offer when defeating them!

As outlined above, there are benefits to tackling each type of fight in each region. While the Standard Matches may not seem to offer much, the EXP and Fight Money earned by doing all of them in each area is pretty substantial, and we recommend tackling every fight in each area!
Gong Walkthrough In Tekken 8
Being the mode's first region, there's not too much going on in Gong, but there are three Treasure Box Fights, seven Standard Matches, and a Tournament that culmina🦩tes with your first Boꦏss Encounter that's part of the Main Questline.
There are also two Challenges you can tackle in this region, giving you a bit more Fight Money and EXP upon completion. The Challenges, Treasure Boxᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ Rewards, and 𝓰Boss Rewards are in the sections below!
The challengers in Gong will be around the following levels: 1st Dan, 2nd Dan, and Strategist. If you defeat everyone in this region before moving on to the next, you will reach the rank of Combatant.

Max, the guide and tutorial master of Arcade Quest, will also teach you the basics of Heat and how to perform basic combos with your selected character. If you ever want to revisit his tutorials, just find and speak to him in whichever area you're in and select the 'Run Tutorial' option.
You can also see all the Missions/Challenges in your specific area by selecting the 'Check Missions From Max' option when speaking to him. Speaking to Max will also allow you to move to new regions, change the appearance of your Profile, Avatar, and Characters, and much more!

After defeating this region's boss, speak to Max and select the 'Head Out' option to move to the next area and progress the story. 'The Final Round,' is also available at this time, which is the Super Ghost Battles portion of the game, will also become available. We suggest avoiding that area until after you clear all six chapters of the Arcade Quest story first!
Then, of course, you will still have the seven Brown Boxing Glove Avatars you can fight in this region, which we strongly urge you to face before moving on to the next area.
