But also, what on earth does Brian Cox have to do with Tekken🌄 8?

, the trailer reveals that the game's first DLC fighter is going to be Eddy Gordo, a series mainstay that was first made playable in Tekken 3. Gordo has been in every mainline Tekken game since his debut, which made his absence from the launch roster of Tekken 8 a bit of a shame for fans of the character.

Still, even if Eddy isn't going to be playable from the moment Tekken 8 launches, we do at least know that he's going to be back on the roster as a DLC fighter. The trailer doesn't give an exact date for when we can expect Eddy to join Tekken 8, but it does reveal that he's currently aiming for a Spring 2024 release date, which means we won't be waiting too long until we can play as him.

The DLC trailer also gives us a first look at Eddy Gordo's redesign for Tekken 8, which has a lot less leopard print than his outfit in Tekken 7. He's also sporting a high-top dreadlock fade, which has become a bit of a controversial hairstyle in re🐭cent years.

Interestingly, although the trailer only reveals the first character coming to Tekken 8 as post-launch DLC, . That leak claimed that Eddy Gordo would be joined by Armour King, Roger, and newcomer Xiao Men, which now ap𝓰pears to have been proven true now that Gordo has been confirmed.

It's possible that the other three characters coming to the game as part of Season Pass 1 won't line up with that initial leak but, for now, it certainly seems to be true, especially considering it came from a PlayStation Store listing. That leak is especially good news for fans of Roger the Kangaroo, though, as he's been out of action in the Tekken series for quite some time now and is long overdue a return.
