The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley just introduced a new trailer for Tekken 8. The eighth installment in the venerable fighting series from Bandai Namco is looking pretty good. Built in Unreal Engine 5 the game is current gen only and is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S🌃, and on PC for Steam.
The trailer🃏 features series favourites including King, Jin, Kazuya, Marshall Law, as well as more recent additions like Bob. As for the story it appears there is going to be a major battle between father and son Kazuya and Jin, which Tekken fans know and adore as the Mishima drama saga continues.
You can watch the trailer below, which is over a minute ⛄long, as Bandai Namco teases the story and gameplay.
Tekken 8 has a punchy tagline too, the suitably crunchy: Fist Meets Fate. Here is more information via Bandai Namco: "Powered by U🐭nreal Engine 5 and exclusively available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC Digital, ꦇTEKKEN 8 pushes the limits of new-gen hardware and technologies.
The game features high-definition character models built from the ground-up with high-fidelity skin and hair, along with immersive grap💟hics such as muscles that shift to reflect character movement."
Bandai Namco says Tekken 8 continues the tragic saga of the Mishima and Kazama bloodlines and world-shaking father-and-son grudge matches. The game does not have a release schedule as yet, but we'll have more as we get it.
