is looking at the title belt as the best creature-capturing game on the market. Only its big competitor in the David versus Goliath match is Pokémon, the billion-dollar franchise. While Pokémon is starting thrꩲough franchise fatigue it is still the powerhouse and nostalgia breadwinner. The question many are faced with is something new: what Pokémon fans want and will they go to a new game in the market that specifically is about ma𓃲king them feel at home?
Temtem is the next competitor after Yokai Watch to try to take the place of Pokémon, where one failed TemTem can only learn from. So here are 5 reasons TemTem will surpass Pokémon and 5 reasons Pokémon will stay the master of the genre.
10 🐲 TemTem: A Better Fighting System
One thing that Pokémon has failed at is actually improving their battling system in a meaningful way. TemTem takes their formula and brings it to the next level and isn't abashed about it. Many things that Pokémon did to improve their battling system are only for one game and other things like HM's being removed came 3 games too late. Fact is, Pokémon upgrades itself very little or at a snail's pace and constantly finds itself behind 𒊎in the RPG genre and trying toꦜ play catch up on features in order to keep interest up.
9 Pokémon: A Determined Fanbase ꦿ
One thing that is unpalpable is the Pokémon fanbase. It's a legendary series that has kept life-long fans. People who will always buy the next generation to enjoy Pokémon and are excited no matter what Pokémon has to offer. Pokémon fans are in it for the long haul and will happily try to improve the series through feedback. Pokémon has the be☂nefit of being ꦓmainstream through the success of the anime in the early 2000s.
8 🅘TemTem: Mastery of the MMORPG ꦕ
Pokémon Sword and Shield started the idea of a semi-MMO feel with having other players around the map visible to the player. This was not done properly at all because in many cases it's a glitchy mess that adds nothing to the game that isn't superficial. It slows the game a lot, raids are near impossible to join, and interacting with other players does nothing but gives you a food item. Temtem has a much better thought-out MMO system and actually 1-ups Pokémon in that wa꧒y that would have taken them another ♛5 years and another generation to figure out.
7 🤡 Pokémon: A Long Index of Pokémon
Temtem doesn't quite have the power library of creatures as Pokémon which has 800+. While Pokémon officially limited the number of Pokémon per game by eliminating the National Pokédex, Temtem cannot hope to come close in a short amount of time and have them all be as lovable and well designed, for the most part. When comparing the two, Pokémon is the well-established veteran when it comes to vari🥀ation.
6 ♕ TemTem: Not Too Unf꧑amiliar
Temtem isn't shy about its pokemon inspired origins and directly tries to appeal to Pokémon fans. While a lot of its visual style takes more from modern Pokémon games, it does try to attract what it can. Every feature, gameplay element, and story element comes from Pokémon but is a𝓀 new and improved version of it. The very premise of it is the same you will just be playing it a different way.
5 Pokémon: Billion-Dollar 🅠Franchise
Pokémon is much more than a game, it is a full-on franchise and a very successful one at that. It's standard the test of time through its multimedia adaptions from the TV series to the card game. TemTem at the moment is only a gam🅺e series that hasn't drawn mainstream attention.
Mainstream attention is a very hard thing to achieve and Pokémon worked for many years to not only achieve it but to maintain it over theꦿ years, even by smothering other series out ith its overwhelming Disneyan presence.
4 TemTem: No Need to Buy 2 Copies ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ
Duel versions have made Pokémon stand out as a game series all these years and for the most part, is marketing genius. TemTem will be sticking with one title only where you can collect all the monsters they have. This feature has annoyed many where finding their favorite of the region always alluded them because it always seemed to be on a different game. This feels like a feature many would have appreciated as kids when compared to Pokémon.
3 Pokémon: Pokémon is Easy Enough for Anyone 🌠
It has to be said the Temtem is niche, especially in gameplay and game style in it being an MMORPG. There isn't much of a learning curve with Pokémon essentially, but there is with TemTem. Pokémon may have gotten way too easy nowadays, but it is much more accessible than it used to be. While TemTem will be more accessible for anyone with any console, Pokémon has been𒆙 more accessible gameplay-wise where even type matchups have been less of♍ an issue for people to remember in order to win the game.
2 TemTem: Available🌠 to More Platforms
Pokémon is legendarily only on Nintendo systems but TemTem has the running advantage to not be limited to that. Being available on every major gaming platform is giving it a running chance on the market no other Pokémon competitor has had, even pokemon itself. It gives players who would not normally buy a Nintendo system just to play Pokémon a chance to experience it without the extra spending required. Because looking at a Pokémon game you aren't really spending $60 for it, you are really spending 🔯$360 between game and game console.
1 ♌ Pokémon: The Original 𝔉
One thing with Temtem is many of the designs are cool, but derivative. You tell there are (Not) Eevees and other Temtem that look very similar. Temtem is much like a mod that went pro and had to change many of the similar elements, it is a tribute in every way. It's enjoyable for a Pokémon fan displeased with the series for years and other just looking to get into Pokémon but not having a Nintendo system.
