7 🍌 Healing🍰 From The Nurse
I can't do anymore for you without plastic surgery.
The Nurse NPC serves as a healer. If you are running low on HP, you can head to her, fork over a small amoun🐼t of money, and get healed. Depending on your current health, the Nurse will give you a different response.
If you try to heal at full health, she will make this quip about plastic surgery. While not the most in-depth quote, it's fun to think about plastic surgery in the Terraria world. Especially when considering that the Nurse says "No, I will not tell you how many candles are on my cake", during a party. Has she dabbled in Terrarian plastic surgery?
6 The Dryad's Age
I wish [Arms Dealer] would stop flirting with me. Doesn't he realize I'm 500 years old?
Each NPC in Terraria has other NPCs that they like and dislike. Although the Dryad is neutral towards the A༒rms Dealer, she makes it clear that he flirts with her. In this quote, we also learn that she is a whopping 500 years old.
To trigger this quoꦗte, you will need to speak to the Dryad when the Arms Dealer is present. Thankfully, this does not decrease her happiness, so you can witness this failed flirting attempt.
5 Truffle's Children
As if living underground wasn't bad enough, jerks like you come in while I'm sleeping and steal my children.
The Truffle is a uniq▨ue, mushroom-shaped NPC that prefers to live in the Glowing Mushroom biome. Th🍃is is the only quote given by the Truffle that mentions his children, and can be said at any time.
Maybe these children are the mushroom enemies that appear underground. Alternatively, they could even be the mus🌺hroom item that you can gather from the ground. Whatever the case, you seem to be ruining his family life.
4 ღ ⛦ Manslaughter From The Golfer
According to [Dryad], I'm murdering a lot of her friends when I mow the lawn. I gotta have a fairway for my course!
The Golfer is all about green grass and of course, golfing. To maintain a nice green lawn to golf on, this NPC needs to mow. This may seem like a simple and harmless task, but according to the Dyrad, he is committing murder. The Golfer will say this if you interact with him w💯hile the Drayd is near.
Interestingly, the Golfer is the Dyrad's only hated NPC. Within the Bestiary, we learn that the Dryad is the last of her kind, which means that these friends aren't quite like her. Sentient grass is far from impossible in a world like Terraria though.
3 Talk𒐪ing To The Skeleton Merchant 🥃
I'd lend you a hand, but last time I did that, I didn't get it back for a month.
If we are being honest ꦺhere, nearly every line delivered by the Skeleton Merchant is gold. While interacting with him,🌼 you will hear several puns and jokes, often centering around his skeletal frame.
You can experience this quote by talking to the Skeleton Merchant at any time. Don't forget to interact with him several times, as he also mentions that spiders can "suck out your insides and leave you a hollow shell of a man".
2 The Anger & Finding Nemo ꦉ
I saw this bright orange and colorful fish by the ocean, and it was looking around frantically as though it was seeking a lost family member! Go catch it for me, so that another one will show up looking frantically for him inste♔ad!

Still, this is in line with𒁏 nearly everything else that the Merchant says. Regardless of the situation, this NPC is always trying to push his wares on you. Whether it be from torches, potions, or party items, the Merchant always has money on the brain.
