Anyone who volunteers to be the Dungeon Master for a campaign is in for a lot of work. Before a session even starts, the DM is researching lore, drawing maps, and balancing combat encounters. Then, when it comes time to actually play, they have to put on a show. This often means switching to different voices, or at least speaking more loudly and clearly in one's normal voice. The whole act requires a lot of water, co❀ffee, or energy drink. Now, thanks to Tervis, DMs finally have a tankard worthy of the job.
Tervis specializes in sustainable drink containers of various functions. Their latest line of stainless steel bottles are supposed to keep your water colder longer. Their tumblers, meanwhile, range from 20-30 oz. and come in all kinds of nerdy designs. Fans can give their morning coffee more character with cup designs based on Marvel comics panels, Star Wars concept art, and Magic: The Gathering's mana. And now, a limited edition Dungeons & Dragons collection joins the party.
The two 30 oz. tumblers feature designs based on the Dungeon Master's Guide and Monster Manual's special covers. They'll go for $49.99 a piece, and whil💮e that might sound pricey, these pieces will definitely be collector's items. Only 500 of each design will be made.
These aren't some cheap paint job slapped on a cup either. The striking images of the lich and beholder seem etched into the very steel of the tumbler. The blue of the beholder is rich in particular, incorporating various shade🃏s in a way tha🦩t gives the design depth. Throw some ice cubes in there, fill it up with water, and DMs should be able to stay refreshed enough to keep committing to that growly monster voice three hours into the session.
It's hard to think aboജut it with everything else going on in the world, but the holiday season will be upon us soon enough. These tumbler would definitely make a great Dungeon Master gift. Who knows, it might even soften the DM up enough to earn a free inspiration.
Two D&D tumblers were provided to TheGamer in anticipation of their launch. They should be added to the during the week of August 23.
