One of the final reveals during today's Indie World Showcase, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Tetris Effect Connected was confirmed to be dropping onto the Nintendo Switch on October 8, 2021. Featuring the entire multiplayer suite that was added for the Xbox One release, this belated port to Nintendo's console will come complete with cross-play multiplayer for those with friends on other consoles.
If you haven't played Tetris Effect yet, the Switch version may just be the perfect way to play. Tetris can be a very social game in the right setting and Effect bumps the zen elements to the extreme with creative visuals and an absolutely stellar soundtrack. With spontaneous multiplayer available thanks to the Switch's portable nature, it wouldn't be hard to setup a game on a moment's notice. Coupled with the cross-play support and this game really shouldn't be missed if you fancy dropping blocks.
There aren't any special features for the Switch version of Tetris Effect Connected, but I'd say having the ability to play this in bed is a big bonus. You lose out on the VR element that was present in the PC and PS4 releases, but then you gain all of the extra content from the Xbox One port minus 4K resolution output. There are certainly trade-offs, but I could see double dipping on this version just to have the game portably.
It's more surprising that Tetris Effect Connected wasn't already on the Switch. The game can be demanding in a few of its backdrops, but is otherwise a light title that runs on just about anything. Better late than never, as they say.
