168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Ascent, made by Neon Giant games, is a fantastic twin-🔴stick shooter open-world ARPG set in the cyberpunk world of Veles. In it, there’s quite a lot of freedom to experience the game how you want both in terms of how your character looks, plays, and what you can do.

A “build” in The Ascent usually consists of your Armor, Loadout, Skill Point distribution, Tactical Equipment, and Augmentations, while your overall appearance is pretty heavily impacted by your main Attribute and Armor. So, here are s🌄ome things we found in regards to builds and gameplay that a lot of the more “pro” players have bee🔯n utilizing.

10 Become "Basically&qܫuot; Invincible B൩y Stacking Vital Signs And Weapon Handling Early

The Ascent - A Zoomed In Look At A Maxed-Out Vital Signs Skill

As we said, you can build your character however you want - and 9 times out of 10 it'll work pretty well. But for a straight-up overpowered start, pump a bunch of Skill Points into both Vital Sings and Weapon Handling right away. Why? Well:

  • Vital Signs is your Max HP, and your health is really the only thing limiting you from taking on enemies way above your level, as even against enemies five or more levels above you, your guns will still deal decent enough damage.
  • Weapon Handling is your weapon swap speed and reloading speed. This is a twin-stick shooter, meaning your ammo is unlimited, so the only thing stopping your damage output is the time it takes to reload and swap between weapons, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:which is why this Skill is so importa♋𒀰nt.

9 Turn Up The Aim As൩sist Settings For A Free Buff To A🌟iming

The Ascent - Changing The Aim Assist Setting At The Main Menu

The Aiming Skill in The Ascent is a bit polarizing 🅘between players. Some put a bunch of Skill Points into it and noticed very little difference while others ignored it entirely and did just fine. But, there’s a specific setting you can change in the options menu that has an immediate effect on your gameplay, a♏nd that’s the Aim Assist setting.

Turning this option from “Medium” to “High” greatly improves how well you’ll aim at opponents from afar, especially if you're playing with a controller.

8 🍌 Lockon Fire + Any High-Capacity Gun = Overpowered Chaos 🃏

The Ascent - Using Lockon Fire With The Minigun

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Th🍌ere are a lot of Augmentations in this game that different players swear by. Some people really love Hydraulic Slam, others call I/O Converter mandatory, but Lockon Fire absolutely has the most synergy among all the builds, both with different weapons 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:and different Tactical Equipment. Basically, after triggering this Augmentation, as long as you don’t interrupt it, it unloads the entire clip of your currently equipped gun directly at any nearby enemies. That sounds basic, but let’s give some examples of why it's so good:

  • With the RPG23 or Besieger, this Augmentation fires anywhere from 8 to 30 highly explosive rounds with relatively precise accuracy.
  • Using The Dealbreaker Minigun and this Augmentation means 200+ free rounds of auto-aiming goodness.
  • Even something as basic as the Riot Gun benefits from this, as long as you activate the Aug when enemies get close.
The Ascent - Opening A Chest With A Cyberdeck Upgrade

Hacking in The Ascent is probably the topic that has players asking questions about it on forums and social media the most. But, one question that a lot of people have just been assuming the answer 🌳to without asking is “Are Cyberdeck Upgrades found exclusively in mainline mi꧅ssions?” And to that, the answer is no.

Yes, you’ll find a good amount of them⭕ while progressing through the main missions, but there are quite a few hidden throughout Veles as well that will let you access greater hacking abilities earlier on for an extra advantage.

6 🐠 ꧙ Fix A Lot Of The Bugs By Quitting To Menu And Going Back In

The Ascent - Main Menu Screen

Let’s be honest, The Ascent (in its current state) has a lot of bugs and small issues. The dev team seems to be determined to fix a lot of them, but there are still quite a few. Whether it's side missions breaking completely, objects not loading in, or guns randomly not being able to fire.

Thankfully, some dedicated players tested a lot of solutions, and it turns out almost all of the bugs are easily fixable by just quitting bac♏k to the main menu and loadiꦿng back in. Obviously, closing the game and opening it back up works too, but it’s nice to know that you won’t need to open the command console or anything crazy like that just to solve a simple glitch.

5 ꦗ Grind EX🌊P Just By Dying In A Great Spot Over And Over

The Ascent - The Continue Screen After Dying

Here’s the thing about The Ascent: it’s a pretty easy game to break in t🌊erms of its balance. But, absolutely nothing works better than just grinding ou🍎t EXP and out leveling the enemies you’re struggling with.

And, to do that easily, all you have to do is find a district chock full of enemies with a lot hanging pretty close to a checkpoint/respawn point. Once you find this, then it's just a cycle of killing most of them, dying to the last one, and repeating it over and over. There’s absolutely no consequence to dying in this game and you keep all the EXP you gained before dying.

4 Get A Zoomed-In Look At Your Character Just By Waiting Around ღ

The Ascent - A Look At The First Person Exploit Done By Griff Griffin

Now, compared to all the other cool things on this list, this next one might ღseem a bit mundane or pointless. But, it’s stilꦺl a largely unknown thing you can do that adds to your overall immersion. Basically, as with most games, if you leave your character alone for a while without touching any controls, they have a standard set of idle animations they run through. But, in this game, at just about the 30-second mark, the camera starts slowly zooming into your character until it gets pretty close.

Sure, you can get a close look at your character in the pause menu, but you can also use this to see NPCs up close, or just marvel at the environmental design of Veles in general. A dedicated fan even figured out how to p🐟ut it in first person too💯, showing off just beautiful this game looks at all angles.

3 🍸 Hack People, Not Just Objects

The Ascent - Hacking A Person From Behind

There’s a lot of different stuff you can hack in The Ascent🦋, given that your Cyberdeck is upgraded enough. To name a few,💫 you can hack:

  • Chests
  • Doors
  • Turrets And Mortars sealed beneath the street
  • Explosive Barrels
  • Cars
  • Vending Machines
  • Computers
  • Consoles

But, how many of you have been using it to hack people? Most of you guys seem to be missing this aspect of hacking, as we don’t see many people using it in combat. But, for any enemy that seems to be using heavy cybernetic technology, such as the invisible Rojin, you can hack them whenever tꦰhey get close to pop them out of stealth and stun them briefly.

2 Switch Loadouts Mid-Fight 📖

The Ascent - Looking At My Loadout Mid-Fight

Okay, so this next𝓰 one completely ruins the difficulty balance of The Ascent, as well as alm𓃲ost assuredly ruins your sense of immersion. But, if you don’t really care about that sort of stuff, then feel free to switch your armor and weapons mid-fight to adjust to the enemies you’re fighting.

Normally we’d recommend that your primary and secondary firearm should have different damage types, but using this trick, you really only need to ꩵuse your most ov𒁃erpowered one. But, keep in mind, switching any of the Augmentations out during combat will completely drain your current Energy level, so only do it when there's a vending machine nearby.

1 𒊎 Overkill Enemies So Much That They Literally Explode

The Ascent - What An Overcharge Kill Looks Like In-Game

The Overcharge mechanic is one that’s introduced in the side mission "Double Charge" and isn’t very well explained, but is actually a very nꦰeat addition to combat. Essentially, when you use anything that puts enemies in stasis, you can then "overcharge" them. While in stasis, if you do enough damage that their health depletes fully before the status effect runs out,ജ their HP bar will turn blue.

Do enough damage to fill up their now blue HP bar and they’ll explode in a big orb of energy, dealing tons of AoE damage to any other enemies around them. Granted, this isn't the easiest thing to effectively use in combat, but can be devastating when done properly.
