Most Borderlands games are well-known and well-respected — Borderlands Legends, however, is neither of those things. This iOS-exclusive game combines the action-RPG and strategy genres using a top-down view as players control the original game's party of Brick, Roland, Lilith, and Mordecai.

The game never received glowing reviews, partly because a lot of what made Borderlands s𒐪o great was lost in the transition to mobile. Despite that, the core idea of the game held up to scrutiny, and another, more refined attempt later down the line could have made it work. Originally a DLC for Borderlands 2, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep launched as a standalone game in 2021 to build up to Tiny Tina's Wonderlands in 2022. The game sees Borderlands 2's characters take on the challenge of a fantasy world inspired by tabletop games like Dungeons & ওDragons.

The game's combination of Borderlands' fantastic writing and consistently good gameplay makes for a hugely entertaining experience, albeit one that is a little shorter than you would probably like. But when a game like this leaves you wanting more, you know it's worth the money, even if some parts just don't make any sense.

A Sequel, Set In The Past, But New

Fitting a whole game in between two existing titles is often a tricky task — there are a lot of story fact🐠ors that have already been determined by the existing game💯s, but Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel pulls it off well. As the name suggests, this entry is much more a prequel to Borderlands 2 than a sequel to the original game.

The game allows you to take on the roles of familiar characters like Athena and Claptrap as they witness Handsome Jack's rise to power and the events that lead up to Borderlands 2. The gameplay is exactly what you would expect from Borderlands, but with a few fun twists that freshen the formula up after the original two games.

4 Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

Somewhat of a return to the previously mentioned world of Tiny Tina's Assault On Dragon's Keep, you are once again thrust into the world of Bunkers and Badasses with Tiny Tina as your gamemaster.

It's a peculiar tale that can only happen in the Borderlands series, and while there are plenty of staples that will make you feel at home, it does seem a lot of times to be an odd mix of different worlds. The game is a huge departure from the rest of the Borderlands games in its gameplay as it employs a narrative-heavy, choice-driven approach rather than the usual FPS mechanics used by the rest of the series. But don't let that put you off, as this is possibly one of the funniest games in the entire series, and you're missing out if you've never played it.
