COVID-19 Vaccination To Be Mandatory At All 2022 PGL Esports Events

It looks like tournaments for FIFA, Dota, PUBG, and more will be requiring the COVID-19 vaccination f﷽or all participants and attendees in 2022. PGL's CEO Silviu Stroie made the announcement on Twitter: "I firmly believe the only way to bring back massive LAN events is to require complete vaccination of attending players, talent, spectators." Considering the rising number of COVID-19 cases, this is a good move and model for other events to follow going into the future.

Harassment In Online Games Continues To Worsen From Last Year, According To New ADL Survey

A new study was released this week from the Anti-Defamation League, and it shows that harassment 𝓡in online game𒆙s has actually gotten worse from the year prior. Women and people of color saw the largest increase in harassment from 2020 to 2021. The study notes that even though LGBTQ+ members haven’t seen a substantial increase in harassment, the 38 percent that experience it is still a high n♔umber that we should take seriously. The one silver lining from the study is that 99 percent of the people surveyed claimed that they experienced positive social benefits from online gaming too, so the data isn’t strictly negative.

Valheim Releases New Patch To Balance Food Following Pushback From Recent Update

Earlier this week, we saw the release of the Hearth and Home update for Valheim. The update included changes to how food worked—notably that food next to a red fork would benefit your health, food next to a yellow fork would benefit your stamina, and food next to a white fork would do both.
