The Callisto Protocol is less than a week away. While we don't yet know what went down on Jupiter's moon, we do know that there will be plenty of jump scares, monsters, and brutal death animations. You can even 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:buy more deat🐲h animations via the season pass if the ones in the base game aren't enough for you. Apart from these animations, the terrifying alien creatures are the highlight of the game, as they charge towards you while you frantically reload your weapon. To add to the horror, they were inspired by someone who lives in a pineapple, under the sea.

It's true, most of us would shit ourselves if we ever came across a live-action version of SpongeBob SquarePants. But it's not his look that Callisto Protocol's character director, Glauco Longhi has taken inspiration from, it's his movement. For example, if they needed something to crawl up walls, they would design it based on that brief. But that wasn't always the case.

“Some creatures came from the art perspective, though, like, ‘Hey, let's just do something that is very crazy looking,’" he explained. "And then we put that in the game and find a way of making it work."

“Even some cartoons, like Spongebob. We look at cartoons on the stylization and movement because, although it's super real and immersive, we stylized a lot of things to make them more appealing," he continued. “So some of the movements, and in the case of the gore, the blood, and how we remove the limbs, there's a push of style to emphasize some of these actions.

“Cartoons 😼do that very well. Disney, Pixar, or whatever – they give you the message right away. If there’s a fast character, you get it right away [from the] strong silhouettes.”

While you won't be coming face to face with a giant sea sponge or starfish once the game launches, but give it a few weeks, and the modding community will have you slicing off SpongeBo's limbs soon enough.
