Summary

  • The Skyrim Together team have released a new mod for Oblivion Remastered — Ghosts of Tamriel.
  • It lets you leave Elden Ring-style messages for other players to read in their own worlds.
  • However, it isn't prompt-based. You can type whatever you want, which has some players concerned.

It can get a little lonely charting the vast wilderness of Cyrodiil by yourself, so for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Oblivion Remastered, the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Skyrim Together team have reunited with a new, Sou🔜ls-in𒁃spired project: Ghosts of Tamriel.

for other players to read in their own game, complete with an upvote and downvote system. Granted, unlike 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dark Souls and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Elden Ring (168澳洲幸运5开奖网:or really, Demon's S෴ouls — the first to do it), it isn't a𒈔 fantasy game of Mad Libs where you fill in the gaps with a bunch of themed🦋 prompts. Instead, you can just type freely.

Allowing the text to be freeform rather than seꦦlecting presets seems... brave and way too optimistic ab✅out the community.

It's a little risky, handing anonymous players the ability to write whatever they want in someone else's game, but so far, it's been mostly wh♊olesome (well, if you count 🐓'Try Finger But Hole' as wholesome). However, a lot of fans are understandably concerned about what the mod might spiral into as it gets more popular, and are calling on the team to either strengthen moderation or make it prompt-only. There's a reason Dark Souls chose the latter.

How It Works

As for how the mod works: when you write a message, it stays in th🦩e world for 24 hours. If you get an upvote, the timer resets, but if your comment gets too many downvotes, it will automatically be removed, essentially giving the comm✅unity a way to self-moderate. You can also hide messages in your game for whatever reason, whether they're offensive or just getting in the way.

Graves will a🐎lso be left behind with a messag🐷e when you die, think Dark Souls bloodstains.

The mod is still a work-in-progress, with the team taking on community feedback and rolling out quality-of-life updates, such as the recent 0.2 patch which added controller support, but it's already a hit. With 925 unique downloads and 17,000 views, a number that grows every time y🐼ou refresh the page, yamashi and jay-jay are bringing the community together🌠 once again. Let's just hope the messages stay wholesome.
