One of Solstheim's hidden gems is the Thirsk Mead Hall, a historic structure that has played host to Nord warriors in a manner similar to the Companions in Skyrim. Thirsk is a far cry from꧂ its former glory, having been recently overrun by a Riekling infestation and its warriors driven out into the wild.

You can be roped in by the hall's new owners or its former inhabitants to wipe out the other side once and for all. Both choices reveal more about Solstheim's storied history and let you access new services from whichever side is left inside Thirsk's walls.

Starting The Chief Of Thirsk Hall

A group of unusually civil Rieklings will stop you as you pass the hall for the first time and haltingly order you to speak to the Chief inside the hall. Humoring them will get you face-to-face with their leader. Unlike most of his kind, he can converse with you.

You are likely to pass by this area when visiting the Beast Stone in the Dragonborn story quest, Cleansing The Stones.

After a short conversation, he demands you help the Rieklings get their house in order by getting them a Bristleback.

How To Make Bilgemuck Return To Thirsk Hall

An adventurer lures a warthog-like creature toward a distant mead hall with a mead hall in the background.

His first request is to coax their Bristleback, Bilgemuck, back into its pen. You will find it wandering alone, north of the nearby lake. Approaching Bilgemuck will automatically open a menu for you to offer meat to it. Any kind of meat indicated on the menu will suffice.

Be sure not to run too quickly as Bilgemuck may struggle to follow you if it cannot keep up.

Walk back to Thirsk Hall with the animal in tow. The objective will be automatically completed when it gets close enough to its pen. There is no need to get it directly inside; Bilgemuck will do so automatically.

Where To Get Scathecraw

His second demand will be for ten Scathecraw, a red plant that grows abundantly across Solstheim. You would be able to gather more than enough if you wander about the vicinity of the hall.

You will find a large quantity of the plant growing around Raven Rock's town square, by the blacksmith. A quick trip there will get you all that you need.

The Chief will be pleased with the delivery and make his final request; killing the nearby Nords. The recently-evicted owners had made some attempts to reclaim Thirsk. Their deaths would ensure that his tribe can live in safety. You can agree immediately or ask for some time to think. If you prefer to avoid killing the Nords, make sure to ask for time before searching for them.

Leaving the conversation before giving the Chief an answer may result in the Scathecraw being taken without the objective being complete. This will force you to gather it again.

Killing The Nords

Blue Rieklings charge in to kill some adventurers on a coastal campsite.

The Chief will give a short speech before leading his tribe down to Bujold's Retreat. You will have to join him in killing all seven Nords. Each one is a competent fighter that will not go down quietly.

The diminutive Rieklings are individually weak and will not be of much assistance. You will be doing most of the fighting yourself.

Once the deed is done, the Chief will feel threatened by your prowess and demand to fight you to the death to preserve his status. You will need to slay him to complete the quest.

Once this is done, you will be able to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:recruit Rieklings as followers.

Retaking Thirsk Hall With The Nords

A group of fighters battle blue-skinned monsters on a snowy field.

You can side with the exiled Nords at any time by speaking to Bujold the Unworthy at her camp, Bujold's Retreat by the coast. She will explain that the Nords of Thirsk Hall had grown soft with a cushy lifestyle and had been driven out by the Rieklings. If you volunteer to help her, she quickly rouses her clan to action.

The Rieklings are no different from the usual variety that you fight. They are easy to defeat.

You will join them in purging Thirsk Hall of its infestation. The Rieklings will try to cling to their new holdings and put up stiff resistance to defend themselves.

With their home reclaimed, Bujold will seek the blessing of Thirsk Hall's founder to continue her leadership. As the person instrumental to their success, she asks you to travel to Hrothmund's Barrow with her as a witness.

The Options For Retaking Thirsk

There is no combat necessary at Hrothmund's Barrow. There, Bujold will be rejected by Hrothmund. She asks you to keep it a secret. You will need to choose how to proceed from here. Refusing to keep the secret will have Bujold fight you while agreeing to help will keep her alive.

Thirsk Hall's members will offer side quests regardless of your choice.

Narrative reasons aside, the only thing at stake is Kuvar's Master-level Heavy Armor Training. Any choice that has him learning that Bujold was rejected will prevent you from accessing it.
