Suffe▨ring defeat at your hands, Alduin flees to nur𒊎se his wounds. You need to chase him down to prevent him from regaining his strength and returning. With this in mind, you need to turn to your allies to figure out what to do next.
Regardless of who you turn to, it is decided that the best course of action is to capture one of Alduin's allies for interrogation. All this is much easier said than done considering that this plan calls for the capture of a full-sized dragon. As it happens, there is one place in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Skyrim where such a plan can succeed.
Starting The Fallen
This quest starts immediately after Alduin's Bane ends. You wi✤ll be left to turn to your three main allies for help:
- Paarthurnax, who is with you at the Throat of the World
- Arngeir, with the Graybeards at High Hrothgar
- Esbern, with the Blades at Sky Haven Temple. Speaking to him will also start the quest Paarthurnax.
All three of them will suggest capturing one of Alduin's allies at Dragonsreach, Whiterun's Keep, and a place that you've spent plenty of time at. You just need to sell the idea to the Jarl.
Convincing The Jarl Of Whiterun
Though initially in disbelief, the Jarl will hear out your request. He will not be happy with the idea and will not agree unless he believes that his Hold will be safe. What happens here will depend on the state of the Skyrim Civil War.
The Civil War has yet to be resolved. |
The Jarl will refuse, pointing to the danger posed by his enemies noticing his troops relocating to deal with the dragon. He will need both sides to agree to a truce before he will help, starting Season Unending. |

The Civ💙il War has been resolved or i🅰s on the verge of resolution. |
If your side has won the Civil War or is besieging the enemy Capital, the Jarl will agree to help with your plan, letting the quest continue. |
You will not be able to start Season Unending if you have finished Paarthurnax.
The Civil War will have to be brought to a conclusion before you can continue with the quest in this🉐 instance.
Regardless of how you get the Jarl to agree, you will need to learn how to call out one of Alduin's allies. You will be sent to Esbern or Paarthurnax depending on how the quest progresses. Doing so will teach you the shout Call Dragon which will be instrumental to the plan.
Capturing Odahviing
When all the pieces are in place, you can speak to the Jarl to set the plan in motion. Head to the balcony behind the throne room to find the trap. Once you're ready, use Call Dragon to challenge this dragon, Odahviing, to a fight. He will swoop down, killing a Whiterun Guard and st𓆉arting the batt🍰le.
You must use all three words of Call Dragon to challenge Odahviing.
Use Dragonrend on Odahviing to force him to land. Lure him deep into Dragonsreach until he is under the wooden mechanism by the stairs. The trap will fall onto his neck as it automatically triggers.
The objective of the fight is not to kill Odahviing, but to lure him into the trap. There is no need to fight too hard against him.
Odahviing will realize that he has been bested and admits that many dragons have begun to question Alduin's leadership. Your prowess in combat has swayed him to your side, and he agrees to carry you to Skuldafn, an ancient ruin that holds a portal to Sovngarde. This starts the quest 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The World-Eater's Eyrie.
