With a magical anomaly threatening to destroy Winterhold and possibly the rest of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Skyrim, you hastily begin searching for the only possible solution, an ancient artifact called the Staff of Magnus. You will need to search the Nordic ruins at Labyrinthian for it. Along the way, you'll get to learn more about the former and deceased Arch-Mage, Savos Aren.
Labyrinthian is a long and arduous dungeon that has unique tꦕraps and enemies. While you would be a seasoned mage by this point, it will still prove to be a test of your abilities. This guide will help you get through it.
Starting Staff Of Magnus
After passing you Savos Aren's Amulet and Torc of Labyrinthian, Mirabelle tells you to find the Staff of Magnus as quickly as possible. The remaining faculty at the College will delay the spread of the magical anomaly as long as they can.
The fastest way to Labyrinthian is by traveling south of Morthal, taking a carriage if necessary. You will find the massive ruins before long. You will have to fight trolls and other monsters as you enter.
Though not relevant to the quest, you can visit Bromjunaar Sanctuary in the eastern part of the area.
Bringing all the Dragon Priest masks to it will unlock a secret, ninth mask.
Follow the quest marker to the Ceremonial Doors to insert the Torc of Labyrinthian, unlocking the dungeon. You will also see a large group of ghostly mages from Savos Aren's past.
Entering Labyrinthian
The ghosts will reappear at the entrance, giving you some context as to why they're there. Proceeding further will get you to your first fight.
You do not have to listen to the ghostly mages speak if you are impatient.
The first enemies you fight will consist of a massive, skeletal dragon accompanied by skeletons. The dragon itself cannot fly, though it is fully capable of breathing Frost and biting when it gets close enough.
This encounter can be challenging because of the tight confines and the skeletons being both distracting and dangerous. Focusing on the fragile skeletons before turning to the dragon is recommended.
Though you will not get a Dragon Soul, you can loot five dragon bones from the dragon.
The ghostly mages reappear, shocked that one of them had died. You can press on to Labyrinthian Chasm next.
Labyrinthian Chasm
A booming, magicka-draining voice echoes through the dungeon as you enter, speaking the Dragon Language for the first of many times. You will be stopped by a frozen door not far from the entrance. Attacking the ice at the foot of the door will melt it and allow you to pass through, though a Frost Spirit will attack you.
You can expect to find more draugr as you navigate this dungeon. At the first real room, you will find a downward path deeper into Labyrinthian. Here, you can use the terrain to confuse the draugr and attack while out of reach. He𓃲ad down 𓃲both ramps to continue.
Entering the doorway after the first ramp will bring you to a door marked by a shock rune. There is a Spell Tome: Equilibrium inside.
This will teach you a spell that converts health into Magicka. This spell will be especially useful in this dungeon.
The voice will speak to you again close to the exit, now in an understandable language. It asks if you are Savos Aren. The entrance to Labyrinthian Thoroughfare is not far from here.
Labyrinthian Thoroughfare
The voice will become much more annoying now. It will begin to speak when you are close to enemies, draining your reserves right when you need them mo♒st.
There will be more variety with your enemies from here, starting with a Troll. In the subsequent skeleton-filled room, you will find your path blocked by metal spikes controlled by a nearby lever. Standing too close to the spikes will trigger the next line of dialogue from the voice, potentially draining your Magicka mid-fight.
A Wispmother will be next. It is a difficult, Frost-spewing enemy that is accompanied by several smaller wisps. You will find a burning door. Like the ice-covered one before using the opposite element, ice, will melt the door. A Fire Sprit will emerge, but your path will other༺wise be clear.
There is a Spell Tome: Frostbite not far from this door, if you need a way to apply Frost damage.
New enemies continue to emerge as you next encounter spectral draugr. These enemies are identical to their more common brethren in every respect except that they drop special draining weapons that are not found elsewhere.

Labyrinthian, Tribune
This is the final area before you reach the end. After fighting more spectral draugr, you will find a long hallway marked with a Frost Rune deep within. This area is an extremely dangerous trap.
There is a Spell Tome: Steadfast Ward right before this room. Using the Ward will make things much easier by protecting you from magical attacks.
Soul Gems floating on each side of the hallway will use Flames or Frostbite on you while a trio of Soul Gems at the end spout Flames and Fireball. Getting caught in this hallway will quickly kill you.
The Soul Gems can be stopped by displacing them, giving you several options.
- Spells like Firebolt and Ice Spike will be able to knock the Soul Gems off the pedestals.
- Become Ethereal will allow you to walk through without taking damage.
- If you trust your own speed, you can simply grab the Soul Gems before they fire.
If you need time to recover, sheltering within an alcove will provide respite from the Fireballs.
At the end of this area, you will find a Word Wall for Slow Time and several high-ranking draugr. One happens to have its back to the entrance and may be hard to spot as a result.
Getting The Staff Of Magnus
Finally, you find the Dragon Priest Morkei, imprisoned by two mages. It was his voice that was speaking to you. You will have to defeat the mages before you can start the fight. These mages are not particularly powerful and easily slain. Morkei will then attack you.
Morkei is a powerful boss that uses a wide range of magical skills to attack you and protect himself. His offensive spells are highly effective, making melee attacks dangerous. He also has access to a beam attack that quickly saps your Magicka.
You can use Equilibrium to quickly regenerate any lost Magicka if you are careful not to kill yourself in the process.
There are several strategies to defeat him.
- Staying high up in the ruins will let you remain out of his reach and be able to whittle him down with long-ranged attacks.
- Abusing Sneak skills will let you deal heavy damage with a bow.
- Building sufficient Shock Resistance will deplete his Magicka reserves and limit his options.
He can turn Zombies and Conjured Allies against you. Be careful when summoning them.
After you defeat him, make sure to loot the Staff of Magnus.
Finishing The Staff Of Magnus
You are stopped by Estormo, a Thalmor Mage before you leave. He will try to kill you, though he is not much of a challenge. 🐷Hurry back to Winterhold to find that the Anomaly has grown much larger.
Speak to Tolfdir to end the quest and start the next one, The Eye of Magnus.
