OG has made numerous headlines recently with their roster changes, so much that it makes fans fear for the future of its adored 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dota 2 team. With Anathan "Ana" Pham taking an extended break and Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka retiring from the professionဣal scene, it makes people wonder what's going to happen to OG. But with OG Seed and OG CS: GO being newly introduced, this could mean a new chapter for the esteemed organization.
OG's Journey Up 'Til Now
OG's Dota 2 team is undeniably one of the best eSports tea🏅ms in the world. They have a long list of achievements, which includes being the only team to win the International two times and in a back-to-back fashion. The team has al📖so won several Majors along the way and other Minor tournaments.
But most importantl🐻y, the team has proven to the world that there are no boundaries or limits to something if you set your mind to it. That driving passion that brought the world as a whole together to celebrate and be part of something bigger was OG's most significant achievement. And throughout the years, it has been an adventure for everyone, but with every journey comes an end inevitably.
Last Saturday, OG revealed that t༺he ca🔴rry god himself, Anathan "Ana," Pham would be taking an extended break and coming back next season. OG stated that Ana would be returning for the Dota Pro Circuit season of 2020-2021 to play as OG's front line carry position.
Additionally, OG announced that its position-three player Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka will be spending his days off the stage. JerAx has officially retired from professional 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dota 2 and will not be on the front line of OG's active roster. He hasn'♔t left the organization, but he will be supporting from the sidelines.
In the past, Ana has had problems trying to find himself. He's gone through thick and thin to find the passion of playing 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dota 2 after winning the International 2018 and has pushed himself over his mental limits. It was because 🐬of his strive to be the player OG needed that he shined at the🦂 next big tournament, which was the International 2019. Although JerAx never expressed the same issues during both Internationals, his interview with OG has filled out the blanks of his retirement.
JerAx said to OG, "I have no willingness nor passion to play Dota 2 anymore, and I have trouble fitting myself into my competitor’s shoes." Which means just like Ana, JerAx also continues to face the underlying problem that is having to face the same challenge you've already completed. By the look of things, the issue isn't that they don't have the skills to play, it's that they don't have passion. It's unknown if whether the rest of OG's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dota 2 team feels the same, but if they do, this could mean the end for OG's competitive reign in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dota 2.
OG Steps Into New Lanes
As sad as it may be, accepting the reality of the situation is the first step of starting the next chapter for fans. But don't fret, there is hope. OG revealed last year that a new 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dota 2 minor branched team would take its place at the backline of its active roster, the team is called OG Seed. OG Seed recently participated this month at Maincast Winter Brawl and placed second. This 🅰initial step could promise n✤ew takeovers for the active roster line in the future if they do well.
Subsequently, OG also revealed their first out of lane branching team named OG CS: GO, which is comprised of the best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players in the world. The team's most recent accomplishment was way back in December, wherein the team placed third and pocketed✃ $21.5 thousand. A new front may be🦋 in the making for OG.
What Will Happen To Professional Dota 2?
With the dominant team gone, teams are going to have to worry less. What made OG strong was their unpredictability. Other teams have calm and collected players. Some have good social connections and positive environments. And some even have insane co-ordinated teamwork, but rarely do we see teams that blow away everyone time after time. OG had a thing for making the impossible possible and that was unique on its own, so with that gone, professional 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dota 2 will fra♛nkly be more of a boresome eSport to watch. Watch the team's race to get ⛎the hero or farm until they get their item build, repeat for every match.
Overall, without innovative and creative performances from OG's full active roster from 2018, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dota 2 could be more of a lackluster eSport than its ever been. Mainly because playing 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dota 2 is a puzzle, and it's always different, but the guidelines for playing it are still the same. What OG did was completely go beyond that and create their own guidelines, for example, Topson plays absurd heroes for mid lane, Ana abuses his opponents as IO core, and Ceb takes a break when his team fights and then Axe calls. Together they made a team of unpredictability and top-tier skill, both of which are the ingredients to making history. So without the unquestionability of how an event will progress or turnout, it leaves the world disappointed that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dota 2 may never get as significant as it d🥂i𓄧d when OG owned the professional scene. However, there is still hope. OG will play at ESL One Los Angeles Major Qualifier for a spot in the third Major of the season.
Ultimately, there are still fingers being crossed for the return of the official team this season, but if the world has to deal with a few fill-in players and a whole new OG, then so be it. No matter what choi🙈ces each player makes, the certainty of support will always be present wherever any one of them goes. But seriously, cross your fingers.
