What helps make The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles unique from other entries in the series is that it takes place in the late 19th century. Capcom's decision to set Ryunosuke Naruhodo's journey in this era means you won't be 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:relying on modern technology to solve the mysteries ahead of you. It also means that the characters you meet will be unlike anyone else in the long-spanning 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ace Attorney series.
Both Great Ace Attorney games feature a plethora of charact꧅ers with interesting quirks and backstories. Each one is bound to leave a strong impression on you, but a few of them stand out more than others. Any objections?
10 Taketsuchi Auchi 𓂃
If you have played any of the other Ace Attorney games, Taketsuchi Auchi may look a bit familiar. Similar to Ryunosuke Naruhodo, this prosecutor is an ancestor toಌ other characters from the series. The Payne family is known for facing and defeating rookie defense lawyers, and that legacy began with Auchi.
Think of each member of this long line of antagonizing prosecutors like one of the O'Doyles from Billy Madison. They come in many sizes and love to intimidate those beneath them, but at the end of the day, either Phoenix Wright or Naruhodo will send them driving off of a cliff using the power of evidence and logic. Auchi is a great first opponent for both games and a fun gag for long-time fans.
9 ♎ 𒉰 Maria Gorey
Maria Gorey is one of the last characters you will meet during your time in London, but her morbid fascination with dissection leaves a strong impression. You may think you accidentally stumbled into one of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Zero Escape games when you first meet her, but her skill set ends up beiꦫng vital towards the endgam𝕴e.
Gorey is the daughter o🌊f Courtney Sithe, head coroner of Scotland Yard. Rumors are that as a child, Gorey would ask her mother to tell her about autopsies and was fascinated with knowing every gory detail. She seems to be into forensics just so she can dissect bodies, but she is also great at noticing things 🃏that other scientists miss.
8 💙 🐷 Enoch Drebber
In "The Return of the Great Departed Soul", you will need to defendꦅ an inventor accused of murder after the debut of his latest experiment goes awry. One of your main suspects is the man who built the machine in the failed experiment, Enoch Drebber.
Drebber instantly stands out when he appears out of hiding and begins to move like clockwork. It often feels like he is cursed to do the robot dance while talking, but it's hilarious whenever he does. Drebber will even throw in worm-like movements with his arms to keep things fresh. Drebber also has a small but important role to play in the game's major mystery.
7 Kazuma Asogi ﷽
Without Kazuma Asogi, Ryunosuke Naruhodo would have never become a defense attorney. After falsely being accused of murder in the first case, our hero is hopeless and ready to accept punishment for a crime he didn't commit. Fortunately, Naruhodo's best friend is a lawyer who believes in his innocence and will help guide him towards a verdict of not guilty.
Kazuma then invites Naruhodo to join him abroad in Britain to learn about the country's advanced legal system. After a series of accidents during their journey, Asogi is not able to make it and Naruhodo must step up to continue Kazuma's dream for him. Asogi's presence lingers throughout most of your adventure before a game-changing realization allows you to learn more about his past.
6 🥃 Barok Van Zieks
Throughout Ryunosuke's time as a lawyer in Great Britain, he must face off against the most notorious prosecutor in the country. Barok van Zieks is terrifying in the courtroom as he often fills his hallowed chalice with red wine only to throw it immediately after. It doesn't help that people refer to him as "The Reaper of the Bailey" because every defendant from a case he prosecutes ends up dead.
Barok van Zieks is a stoic character with a fascinating backstory, but he is ultimately less interesting than previous prosecutors in the series. Miles Edgeworth, Godot, and Franziska von Karma each have more depth and personality than van Zieks. Barok still has surprising moments and mannerisms, but he doesn't earn a spot on the Mt. Rushmore of prosecutors.
5 🐓 William Shamspeare
One of thꩵe things you should always expect while playing any Ace Attorney game is to meet intriguing and often baffling characters. A mꦓajority of the main cast is grounded in reality and keeps things relatively down to earth. The supporting cast adds the right amount of absurdity to each case, and no witness is quite as absurd as William Shamspeare himself.
The eccentric man perceives himself as the next William Shakespeare𝐆 and often references the playwright while talking. Shamspeare's entire persona is incredibly entertaining, from the way he moves during cross-examination to his soliloquies. At one point he even pretends to ride his cane like a horse, and it's one of the best animations in the entire game.
4 ꧒ Iris Wilson
Another st🃏aple of the Ace Attorney series is the young protégé archetype. From Pearl Fey to Trucy Wright, there is usually a character that acts as your number one supporter without getting too involved in the case at hand. Iris Wilson takes on this role in the Great Ace Attorney but is much more vital to the story than anyone else before her.
Iris is a child genius who somehow has a medical Ph.D. at the age of ten. She lives with Herlock Sholmes and spends most of her time brewing new variations of tea and inventing handy devices for identifying fingerprints and blood at crime scenes. The mystery of her missing father looms over her, but her overwhelming🔥ly positive attitude and brilliant mind will be essential for solving many of the cases ahead of you.
3 Ryunosuke Naruhodo 🎃
Both of the Great Ace Attorney games take place in just over a year, and we see most of the events in that time through the eyes of Ryunosuke Naruhodo. His arc from humble student to lawyer is full of intrigue, humor, twists, and of course, murder. It's easy to tell that Naruhodo is an ancestor of Phoenix Wright, as both characters are equally humble and intelligent.
Despite not truly being a lawyer at all, Naruhodo doesn't hesitate to pick up the torch when Kazuma Asogi's mission is jeopardized. Due to his natural ability to make new friends quickly, he is often supported and encouraged by those closest to him. His kind nature typically has a positive effect on everyone around him, and even when victory feels impossible, he never gives up on his clients or morals.
2 𒈔 Susato Mikotoba
Ryunosuke Naruhodo had a nearly impossible task ahead of him when he agreed to represent Japan in the British legal system. In many ways, our hero's time as a lawyer would have been cut short without the support of his judicial assistant, Susato Mikotoba. She was originally supposed to work alongside Kazuma Asogi on the journey but decides to work with you instead after discovering he won't make it.
Susato is an incredibly supportive and friendly companion, for the most part. If she ever feels like Ryunosuke is out of line with his theories, she won't hesitate to use her iconic Susato Takedown move to help knock some sense into him. She acts as the heart of the story, and your number one ally throughout both games. Without her knowledge of British Law, Naruhodo would have never become an ace attorney.
1 💫 Herlock Sholmes
When The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles was originally announced to be released in the West, one man caught everyone's attention; Herlock Sholmes. The eccentric detective is clearly 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:inspired by Sherlock Holmes through his name and design, but the personalities of the pair couldn't be more different.
The original Holmes is known for being dry and gentlemanly, while the version we see in Great Ace Attorney is more childish and often perceived as an airhead. Herlock Sholmes elevates almost every scene he is in with ridiculous deduc🌜tions and overconfident body language𝓰. He also has a gentle heart, and his father-like relationship with Iris only makes him more endearing.
