Xbox and Bethesda's joint showcase has taken place today, with lots of exciting reveals and announcements about the biggest games coming to Xbox. However, there was also a bunch of smaller games by talented indie developers shown off as well, one of which was a stylish, gothic Metroidvania called The Last Case of Benedict Fox by developer Plot Twist.
The game's reveal trailer gave us quite the first impression, showing our protagonist (presumably Benedict Fox) exploring a wonderfully gothic mansion full to the brim with creepy monsters to fight. Fox can utilise his demon pal to jump into the minds of the recently deceased, where memories, past traumas, and emotions take on physical forms.
While we didn't get a specific release date for the game, the trailer accompanying the announcement did reveal that it's set to drop at some point in Spring 2023. It also seems like The Last Case of Benedict Fox will be an Xbox console exclusive, as the only platforms the game has been announced for so far is PC via both the Epic Game Store and Steam, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. If you're interested, the game is currently available to wishlist right now.
Indie games have been the highlight of a somewhat disappointing video game season this year. Sure, we've been shown plenty of big reveals so far, but the games getting the most attention at the moment are titles showcased during events such as Devolver's yearly showcase, which was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:just as brilliant and waꦆcky as ever this year.
During the show, 16🌞8澳洲幸运5开奖网:Cult of the Lamb got a release date of Augu🌠st 11, while the crown 🐻jewel of the event was The Plucky Squire, a lovely storybook action adventure game that has captured the hearts of most gamers that have watched its trailer. Summer Game Fest🦂 may have been a bit of a snoozer, but thankfully we have indies like The Last Case of Benedict Fox to provide a healthy injection of variety inbetween all the bland shooters and space games.
