168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Last Of Us has now jumped media platforms, becoming not only an award-winning game, but a hit show as well. It's easy to see why; the characters, the themes, and the breathtaking action all make for such a compelling story.
Transferring such a powerful story from video game to TV was sure to come with some challenges; some things needed to change while others could remain the same. For fans of the games, it was an absolute delight to see those scenes you'd played through show up on the series. Here are some of the best of those hard-hitting scenes.
Beware of spoilers for both the video game and ﷽the show.
10 ꦐ Walking Across The Board
Some game mechanics just can't make their way onto a show. But, thankfully others can. In the case of walking across the rooftop boards outside of the Boston QZ, we were all gifted with this often-overlooked game mechanic.
To those who hadn't played the game, the scene may have seemed like nothing important. But, watching the cast slowly balance over the chasm between buildings was sure to hit some nostalgia for those who had played through the series. Sometimes it's the little things.
9 Bill's Magazine
Bill was definitely a more emotionally diverse character in the series than in the show. While we did miss out on a lot of his and Ellie's banter, the creators did give us a funny little scene to soften the blow of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Bill and Frank's Romeo and Juliet-esque ending.
The world of The Last Of Us is a lonely place. Sometimes to cope with the loneliness one would feel in a post-apocalyptic world, one would need to divulge in some of the more... physical pleasures. It was such a well-needed dose of humor to see Ellie pull out the magazine in the backseat of Bill's truck as Joel did his best awkward dad impression.
8 🐻 𒆙 Not My Daughter
Joel and Ellie's relationship is complicated, to say the least. No one ever said it would be easy as they each struggle with their feelings of loss and caring for someone new.
In the community of Jackson, we see Joel open up for the first time in the series to Tommy. His own feelings of grief and age come out in full force. The results of which make it back to Ellie, which leads to an epic blowout where both of their fears are expressed. The argument they have has some pretty tense lines but none hit as hard as "You're right, you're not my daughter." Leaving us to wonder what will happen to the adopted father-daughter duo from there on.
7 The Interrogation 💮 🥂
Joel is a man who has been turned hard by the world around him. The loss of so many people around him has changed him for the rest of his life, and the thought of🐻 losing one more person he careꦆs about is almost unthinkable.
This is shown so well in the scene where Joel interrogates two of David's men after going full protective dad mode. It is one of the first times we see how gruesome Joel can be and just how far he will go to make sure nothing happens to Ellie. The results really toe the line on who is a morally just person in this show. If there is one.
6 Tess' Last Stand
Tess may not have b❀een around for long, but her actions while she ꧙was with Joel and Ellie have altered them all.
There was a slight difference 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in Tess' last stand, thanks to a few tweaks in the infected and a kiss that really came out of left field. But, the core emoti🌃ons are still there. A sacrifice for, potentially, t🏅he greater good of all humanity, and another hard hitting death in a series where no character feels safe to get attached to.
5 𒈔 The Burning Restaurant 𓆉
David is a character that will reside in the nightmare of many who h🗹ave played the game or seen the show. Those who had played Part I were all waiting with bated breath for the showdown between him and Ellie.
The show covered it exceptionally well. The tension was palpable as David stalked through the restaurant, flames growing all the while. The conclusion of which being a gr𝓡uesome and emotional escape by Ellie and a long-awꦉaited reunion.
4 The End Of Sam And Henry 🍌
Joel and Ellie meeting Sam and Henry seemed like a bit of good fortune for once. The potential for a Walking Dead type of group 💮forming in the wake of a zombie apocalypse. Sadly, those who had experienced the game knew better.
The shock of learning Sam has been bitten is so heartrending, but the little gleam of hope as Ellie realizes she may be able to help him is so wholesome. Unfortunately, that feeling is quickly dashed away as we Sam attack Ellie. The rest of that scene being so emotionally devastating and tense that you can't help but watch in horror as it plays out in front of you.
3 Ellie's First Loss
As with most of the story, the background we get about th𒈔e characters is usually quite a depressing journey. Learning how Ellie found out she was i🌟mmune is no exception to that rule.
The popular DLC for the game was crafted into its very own episode, as we get to see how Ellie shoulders the weight of her uniqueness and how she struggles with loss of her own. You just know it won't end well when you see Ellie and Riley in the mall. After they're bitten, we are left to wonder on our own how horrifying it must have been for Ellie to watch as Riley slowly turned and Ellie stayed the same.
2 Sarah Dying 🀅
The ✅start of both the show and the game was som🗹e of the most devastating moments in the The Last Of Us universe.
Joel losing Sarah was one of the biggest factors in who he became for the rest of the show, and it was done so well in both mediums. Watching Joel fall to the ground holding Sarah and avoid injury, just to watch the blood slowly spread across Sarah's torso is a moment that will stick with players and viewers for years to come.
1 🥂 ꦓ The Hospital
Apart from the beginning of the apocalypse in Texas, no scene ꦓis as synonymous with The Last Of Us as the ending ꧑in the hospital.
Joel's rage is shown in its entirety as he kills fireflies, doctors, and even the person who sent him on this quest in the beginning. Seeing Ellie attached to all those machines and knowing that Joel is faced with such a terrible choice is something that resonated with so many people as they think of what they would sacrifice for their own loved ones.
