Bill manages to live alone in isolation in the town of Lincoln, rarely ever coming across other survivors. Although Bill was only part of The Last Of Us for a short time, there are many details about him that are easy to completely miss while playing t🥀hrough the story.

Updated March 15, 2023 by Dennis Moiseyev: The Last of Us HBO series has wrapped up its first season and has become one of the most highly acclaimed video game adaptations we've seen thus far. The show sticks mainly to the source material but takes creative liberties with its stories and characters, especially Bill. Bill and Frank had a major spotlight on the show, and there were new facts revealed in their backstory that are noteworthy to mention here.

15 Bil💝l Is Always Paranoid 🍌

Joel caught in Bill's refrigerator trap, his foot entangled in a chain, as Ellie will try to help him down.

Bill is one of the most paranoid characters in The Last Of Us, which isn't too surprising considering everything that he has gone through since the outbreak. The sheer number of traps he has all over his town is proof that he doesn't take kindly to strangers and is always scared of people who could be sneaking around, despite the fact that very few survivors pass through his territory.

In the game, you see this with Joel when he gets caught in one of them, and the show has Frank fall victim to one of Bill's traps. The HBO series also shows how Bill's paranoia prepared him for the pandemic, living in a secure bunker stocked with a full armory and reserves of goods. He also believes in conspiracy theories like the US government having Nazi agents and 9/11 being an inside job.

14 🌊 Bill Had A Romantic Partner Named Frank

Bill references his partner Frank in The Last Of Us; however, this character passed away prior to the events of the game. Although not too much is known about Frank in the game, it is believed that he was Bill's romantic partner based on the way that he refers to him in conversation with Joel. Frank's retaliation against Bill led him to get bit and sadly take his own life.

Episode three of the HBO adaptation fully explores the relationship that blossomed between Bill and Frank, from his fall into Bill's pit as an untrustworthy stranger to a loving and caring man who turns Bill's life around and gets him to come out of his isolationist shell. They share lots of endearing moments bonding through music, food, and gardening, as though things are perfectly normal.

13 Bill Was Hostile To Joel And Couldn't Trust Him In The Beginning

Bill cocking a handgun and holding it close on top of the table while he eats across from Joel, as he feels Joel is a threat.

The ever-paranoid Bill is rightfully disgruntled when Frank told him he was chatting with another pair of survivors on the radio and invited them over for lunch, who just so happened to be Joel and Tess. The HBO adaptation showed how the first meeting between the characters wasn't off to a thrilling start, and Bill was extremely hostile.

Frank tried to be welcoming and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:make friends with Tess, while Bill had a conversation with Joel with a gun close by on the table and pointed straight at Joel's face. Bill didn't trust Joel at all and brushed off a lot of what he said, but the letter at the end of the episode showed how things smoothed over time between them.

12 🔜 Bill Was Injured In A Gunfight With Raiders

Bill's conversation over lunch with Joel foreshadowed this very moment. Joel said it would only be a matter of time before raiders come for their territory, and then one evening, Bill's motion sensors 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:started a flame trap to protect against just that. Frank woke up to the sounds of the flames and gunfire, finding Bill in the middle of the street shooting at a group trying to breach ൲the fencꦦe.

Distracted by Frank's presence outside, Bill ended up shot in the stomach and had to be helped back into the house. Frank laid him out on a table and did his best to keep Bill alive, which proved a successful effort. The traps did the rest of the work on the raiders, and this scene was the climax of the episode.

11 Bill Can Pla꧂y Piano And Loves Linda Ronstadt

Music is an overarching theme in The Last of Us video games, whether it be the dramatic score from Gustavo Santaolalla or the guitar Ellie learns to play in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Last of Us Part 2. It turns out the television series added one more musician to the universe with Bill's natural penchant for playing piano, particularly a personal favorite by singer Linda Ronstadt.

The piano piques the curiosity of Frank, who invades the collection of sheet music and finds the Linda Ronstadt book, attempting a poor show of the piano that has Bill step in to show him how it's done. Bill plays and sings Ronstadt's "Long Long Time" and Frank is amazed. It's the first time you see Bill falling for Frank, and they even share a kiss, so the music brings them together.

10 Bill Is An Excellent Cook 🦄

The HBO show does an excellent job of showing that there's more to Bill than just his unwavering paranoia. Bill also apparently knows how to cook delectable gourmet dishes presented in almost restaurant-quality fashion. And he has a terrific wine collection to pair each meal with.

Frank certainly admires his skills as a chef when he inhales the meal Bill makes for him when they first cross paths. Throughout the episodꦗe, Bill continues to show off his cooking abilities when he makes lunch for them and Joel and Tess, and their last meal together, which is poignantly the same as the first one Bill made for Frank.

9 Bill Tragically Ended His Life And Frank's

As horrifying as The Last of Us can get with its frightening and suspenseful infected sequences, there are 16🥀8澳洲幸运5开奖网:many emotional and heartbreaking moments that deal with loss and grief. In the game, Bill and Frank had a falling ou♔t at the 𓆉end of their relationship, and only Frank committed suicide, but the show took things in a very different direction for their story.

HBO's The Last of Us saw Bill and Frank love and care for each other until their very tragic end. Frank got sick with an undisclosed terminal illness that severely deteriorated his health, and Bill couldn't imagine living without Frank. Frank asked him to help him pass, and Bill made the sweet yet heavy decision that they die together.

8 Bill Never Found Out About Tess' Death

Bill was good friends with Tess prior to her death, and the TV show gives you a glimpse of their first interaction. One upsetting fact about their relationship is that he never learned the truth about her d♏eath. During an in-game conversation with Joel, Bill asks him if the pair had a falling out to which Joel essentially confirms they did.

This is another lie told by Joel to a character important to him so that they don't have to go deeper into a conversation about her death. Bill most likely still believes that Tess is alive in the game. Since Joel and Ellie arrived at Bill's home when he and Frank had already passed in the show, there was no chance to even tell either a lie or the truth about Tess.

7 Bill Used To Sm♉uggle Supplies Into The Quarantine Zone For Joel

Bill smuggled supplies for the characters Joel and Tess many times prior to the events of The Last Of Us. It is unclear exactly what💦 Bill got out of this arrangement; however, it is known that he must be an incredibly skilled smuggler since the quarantine zone has a strong security force and many different threats, including hostile survivors and infected.

Joel and Tess most likely needed medicine and food on occasion ꧙when they were low on these supplies during their travels together. Interestingly enou🥃gh on the show, it was Joel and Tess who offered their services to Bill and Frank in making trades to help with their weakening fortifications.

6 Bill Is Skilled With Building From Scratch ꦚ

Ellie being silly and pretending to drive the steering wheel of Bill's immobile truck with its hood open.

Not only is Bill 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a skilled mechanic, but he is also talented at putting contraptions together from scraps that would otherwise be useless to the average person. An example of this is all the traps you encounter around his town that Bill created to alert him to potential thre🃏ats.

Bill's talent for working with spare parts makes him arguably one of the best builders in the apocalypse. His craftsmanship in bombmaking and weaponry is experienced firsthand by you in the gameplay as you unlock the recipe to craft nail bombs after you get one from Bill during his section.
