The PS4 generation is almost at an end and Sony is ready to send it off in style. The first of its two big 2020 games, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Last of Us Part II, will be releasing next Friday, and the embargo on critic reviews lifted earlier this morning. Much like its predecessor, this hotly ant🎶icipated sequel is receiving pretty rave reviews across the board.

There's a wider diversity of opinions this time out, though, so eve꧂ry score isn't simply a 10/10. That's a good thing, even if it hurts some fanboys inside. N♐o game is flawless and having only one specific demographic review a massive triple-A game doesn't do anyone favors when it comes to criticism. This time out, we've got a much better picture of what the game is.

The marketing around the game might suck and Naughty Dog's treatment of its employees is despicable, but at leas✃t the end product came out so♍lid. Those mistreated developers can take some solace in the fact that fans will likely be very pleased.

- "Like the original Last of Us, some people are going to come away underwhelmed, but the story beats and the characters driving them are the main draws. Part II doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it gives us a lastin🅷g glimpse of a unique broken world full of broken people that's worth visiting time and time again."

- "I wish I could say something more eloquent than that I have an already immeasurable amount of love for The Last of Us Part II. But, ultimately, love — the most simple yet complicated feeling human beings🐈 can possess — is what defines this unforgettable story."

- "It's all messy and bleak and made me profoundly sad for myriad reasons, but the more I reflect on it, the more I appreciate the story and characters at its core. I wanted almost none of it to happen the way it did, and that's what's both beautiful 🍨and devastating about it."

- "It sets out to surpass its predecessor, but the only meaningful contrast between the♔m is in its even more oppres🌜sive bleakness and violence. It digs two graves, fills them with blood, and then just fucking wallows in them."

- "What's left is a Bloater t💜hat's forsaken enough of its soul to only just barely still be recognizable in its current form, shuffling around and proving that, unlike Ellie, it is not immune to devolving into a lesser form of itself."

- "It's a visually beautiful game that ღfeels distinct to play, and the story it tells and how it tells it, at the most basic level, certainly pushes the edges of what games have done before. None of those accomplishments elevated or redeemed it for me."

- "But with an ambitiously str🎉uctured🍌 narrative that doesn't pay off, and the new cast lacking chemistry, this adventure can't quite live up to its predecessor."

- "The Last of Us Part II is an astonishing achievement - a searing demonstration of how a video game can marry heart-stopping gameplay, gorgeous environmental storytelling, an𝔉d anxiety-inducing moral꧅ complexity."

- "Naughty Dog has taken everything to the limit to create The Last of Us 2 - the PS4, its design template, and its staff. In some respects, it's🌌 gone too far, but the results are undeniably spectacular, and this is the studio’s best game yet."

- "The Last of Us Part II tries൲ too hard to d💫ifferentiate itself from its predecessor."

- "Maybe the most surprising thing that The Last of Us Part 2 offered me was the surety that, while the game was made with great skill and🧸 craft, we are actually much, much better than Naughty Dog thinks we are."
