During a recent interview with , Craig Mazin opened up about his new show, an adaptation of Naughty Dog's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Last of Us, and how its purp♐ose will always 𓃲be to expand upon the original story, never compromise it.
The series, which will be premiering on HBO, is being produced and written by Mazin along with Neil Druckmann, the creative director behind The Last of Us franchise. Mazin, a massive fan of the games himself, spoke during the interview that the gꩲoal for the series♓ was to never backtrack what the games built for themselves.
"I think fans of something worry that, when the property gets licensed to someone else, those people don't really understand it, or are going to change it," Mazin said. "In this case, I'm doing it with the🌄 guy who did it, and so the changes that we're making are designed to fill things out and expand, not to undo, but rather to enhanc♔e."
With The Last of Us Part II having been out since June, development of the series has more attention than ever. Druckmann is now free to revisit t♉he story of the first game with Mazin and experience all the emotions that come with thꦯe task.
"We're creating anew and we're also reimagining what is already there to present a different format," Mazin added. "It's kind of a dream come true for me. I'm a little bit scared because a lot of emotions connected to this game are rather intense. I 💯think I'm probably going to go hide in a bunker for a while because you can't make everyone happy!"
The Last of Us hꦇas definitely divided fans over the years, with its sequel receiving mixed reception, but Mazin, as a huge fan of the games, will no doubt be able to create a truthful and well done adaptation.
There is still little known ab🌳out the upcoming HBO series and with COVID-19 continuing to affect production schedules, it's unsure when shooting will begin. But with Mazin and Druckmann at the helm, we definitely have something to look forward to.
