When folks think about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the game's vast open spaces tend to pop into most of our heads first. The open world of Hyrule is the game's central selling point. But it's the myriad of quests from memorable characters who populate Hyrule that ensures Breath of the Wild is more than just a very pretty place.
One such quest is 'Recital at Warbler's Nest', an in-depth string of events at Rito Village which Link must be complete in order to unlock a local shrine. This one's a bit tricky, so we're here to help.
How To Start 'Recital At Warbler's Nest'
Your quest begins at Rito Village, the fittingly named home of the bird-like Rito people. Whereas the vast majority of Breath of the Wild's quests are pick-up-and-play - you find one, you do it, no strings attached - 'Recital at Warbler's Nest' numbers among the few exceptions. You must have completed the 'Divine Beast Vah Medoh' beforehand.
That's no biggie, really. After all, most players intend to do so - it's part of BOTW's main questline. Once that's taken care of, ascend to the top of the village and locate Amali, who is near the Akh Va'quot Shrine. Here's what she looks like:
Amali needs us to find Kheel at the Warbler's Nest. Thankfully, Amali politely points our camera over toward the location of the Warbler's Nest, so there's no confusion on that front - it's due west a tad from Rito Village. Once she's done speaking, paraglide across the chasm, stopping on a ledge midway if necessary. Sure enough, there's Kheel.
Kheel's got a conundrum. In her own words, her sisters are 'dummies' and are avoiding singing rehearsal. Also, one of them probably won't budge unless she's fed some Salmon Meuniere. Well, OK.
Where To Find Every Sister
The salmon-catching Kotts is in a nearby pond on the landmass just across the bridge from the village proper. She hands you the Salmon and promises to go see Kheel. And also hopes not to die. Fair🌺.
Notts is up above the armor store, singing. You've got to climb the rock wall from down below to reach her. See the image directly above for a glimpse of the boisterous gal. She hands Link Tabantha Wheat and leaves.
Cree and her Goat Butter can be found at the general store. Sure enough, she entrusts ✨Li🉐nk with the goat butter and makes preparations for her own departure.
Now just go see Genli, who's at the village kitchen near the Akh Va'Quot Shrine fast travel point. Whip out the Salmon, Tabaꦰntha Wheat, and Goat Butter, and tos🌳s them all into the cooking pit beside Genli to create the Salmon Meuniere.
After she's had her fill of the stuff you've cooked, Genli will vow to fly off to Warbler's Nest, and our quest enters its next phase.
Solving The Puzzle
Make sure you have a Korok Leaf in your inventory before progressing further. Return to Warbler's Nest, where the sisters are now gathered to practice their performance.
Note that each of the Rito girls is producing a specifically-colored tune with its own unique sound. Behind the girls are five statues, each with between one and five fingers. When you blow wind through the holes in each of the statues' hands, you'll notice that the sound produced corresponds with a specific kid's own noise, and thus a discernible five-note tune can be deduced.
It's now our job to solve this puzzle by blowing wind through the statues in the proper order. Referencing each statue by the number of fingers, the solution is as follows: Four->Five->Three->One->Two.
The Voo Lota Shrine emerges, and the 'Recital at Warbler's Nest' quest completes. Great work!
