There's a lot of Nintendo news coming out lately. We learned today about the new Smash DLC fighter from ARMS, New Pokemon Snap was just announced as the sequel to the beloved N64 game, yet no further news about 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Breath of the Wild 2.
We're only clamoring for it so much because there are so many questions the fans have about the trailer for BotW2, particularly about the mummy that seems ꧅to be Ganondorf. And, thinking about it now, we're realizing how 🧸much more enjoyable the first game might have been if the Gerudo King had been in it from the beginning, and here's why.
10 People Are Easier 🅰To Relate To
People don't really relate to a villain that isn't human-like or one that doesn't adhere to human-type logic. The best villains are ones that have understandable motivations, flawed yet well-meaning plans, or ones with tragic pasts, yet Calamity Ganon is just a force of nature that can be simply described as "evil incarnate". Think about all the different Ganondorfs throughout the series, how Wind Waker's Ganondorf (168澳洲幸运5开奖网:who had it rough against Link) was so radically different from Ganondorf in Hyrule Warriors.
9 What Would A Conversation Between🍌 Him And Urbosa Be Like?
Breath of the Wild gave the people what many of them had been asking for since the days of Ocarina of Time, more Gerudo representation. The tribe of the Gerudo are quite an interesting group of people, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:perfectly encapsulating the tra✱its of a Scorpio. Though most incarnations of the Dorf have had no ties to their Gerudo lineage in-game, this was the most ideal iteration where Ganondorf could've been Urbosa's (168澳洲幸运5开奖网:one of the games best new characters) surrogate son, traಞined by her, or even just served as a Royal Guard like Lin♛k did.
8 🙈 The Combat System Is Great For Human Vs Human Battles
The Combat System in Breath of the Wild gives the player an incredible amount of freedom. Frankly, it reminds us of how revolutionary the controls 𝔍in the earlier titles like Ocarina of Time were. But, this system is absolutely at its best when facing 1-on-1 against an equally/slightly bette🍸r opponent, as most fans would agree after 🍎their first Lynel fight.
There's a reason why they're one of the꧑ most beloved yet most difficult enemies in t🎃he game, after all. So, having Ganondorf i꧑n the game, even as a Master Mode extra fight, would've been so amazingly enjoyable combat wise, and would've made the final fight a bit better than "Spam your best weapons, eat your best food, wait through the cutscene then shoot the big pig where it glows"
7 We Would've Loved To🦹 See Their 𓆏New Take On His Design
Breath of the Wild felt like a whole new take on the Zelda universe. And yeah, a lot of the mainline games feel like that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:with their change in art styles or overall gameplay, but BotW took it another step further. They changed how the ꧅Zora looked fundamentally, they showed us real Gerudo society, and they gave fans a version of Hyrule so far removed from time that it was almost unrecognizable. Zelda's design in this is amazing, the Four Champions look fantastically uniqu♍e, all the new designs for the villains look incredible, so we're 100% sure Ganondorf would've looked fantastic as well, especially because some fans have already done a fantastic job visualizing him in this style.
6 He Was In ꦉThe Concept Art Already 𝓰
Just a solid week after the game initially released, the development team at Nintendo actually held a panel at the Game Developers Conference, or GDC, that took a look at the behind-the-scenes aspects of Breath of the Wild. And, looking back on it now, this panel was full of information that would eventually become relevant. Aspect♚s like Link on a motorcycle or using a Shiekah prosthetic on one arm. Additionally, we saw a floating castle with Ganondorf at the top of it. So it's clear the team initially planned to ha🐲ve Ganondorf in the game, even in the early days, but just couldn't make it a reality.
5 There Are Lore Implications For His Inclusion ♛
Anyone who has followed The Legend of Zelda series for any amount of🌌 time knows how insane the fans get about the lore and "official" canon. These guy💧s, ourselves included, adore deep diving into every bit of lore that relates to the other games. And, over time, they'll pull these lore bits together to give tangible evidence towards the connections from one game to the next.
And, one thing that was inspected by fans since the very beginning is the splash screen mural for BotW where it shows the "Hero" fighting the calamity 100 years ago. Yet, oddly enough, this "Hero" looks very pig-like and is drawn with bright red hair. Long story short, it loo🌳ks more like Ganondorf than Link, and many thought that this confirmed he would be in the game somewhere.
4 The "Inc🅘omple💦te Form" Was Lackluster
There are so many parallels in this game between Ganon and Link, as there are in most of the LoZ games. But, the one that blew our minds, is when we compared the room where Calamity Ganon's cacoon was and the Sܫhrine of Ressurection we start the game. Looking cဣlosely, it's apparent that these rooms are very similar, meaning that Ganon likely hacked another Shrine of Ressurection. The very idea that Calamity Ganon was using this to recreate his physical form is proof enough that Ganondorf should've been in the game, whether as an alternate fight DLC released later or in the original release. Just take a look at this amazing visualization of
3 🍌 The Idea Of Fighting Ganondorf After Ganon Is Worth Pursuing
Breath of the Wild really felt like a brand new take on the Zelda franchise. But, there were also plenty of aspects of this title that intentionally did things opposite of what the player would except too. Things like the Four Champions losing to Ganon initially instead of triumphing or Ganon beating Link and him having to recover and return later like Ganondorf has done many times throughout the franchise. And, how interesting would it have been if Ganondorf was the second phase of the final fight instead of the first? In every other LoZ game, Link fig൲hts Ganondorf than Ganon in full beast form, what if this time it was backwardꦚ?
2 This Might Be The End Of Ganondorf In This Timeline 🔴 🔯
Calamity Ganon's death at the end of BotW had such a sense of finality to it. In fact, in order to take on the physical form it does when we use the Light Arrows, Zelda mentions it had to give up on reincarnation to become this "Dark Beast Incarnation". So, if Ganondorf was in the game, imagine how somber this moment would have been where we finally say goodbye to the character for good? Well for one, it would make BotW's postgame 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a lot more relaxing than itꦡ already isꦿ. And two, this revolutionary new take on the Zelda format would've really blazed some neജܫw trails by eliminating the long-time antagonist of the series for good.
1 ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ We Could've Lea🌜rned So Much More About Malice
Many fans forget that both Ganon and Ganondorf are intimately tied to a curse on the world by Demise. Demise told the original versions of Zelda and Link in Skyward Sword that an incarnation of his Malice would follow them throughout the ages, and Calamity Ganon seems to be the ultimate version of it. From the BotW2 trailer, it seems like this sequel will g💃o into it more, but if the reveal of his dried husk of a corpse was in the original game, the impact would've been so much stronger. Imagine finding out at the end of such a long journey that you weren't fighting Ganondorf at all, and that he was hooked up to a machine that weaponized Demise's Malice from his body for hundreds of years!
