Molduga are special miniboss🥃es that are exclusive to the desert region in the far south-west of Hyrule: Gerudo. These eno💫rmous, serpent-like creatures burrow under the sand and swim through the desert, surfacing on occasion for air and food. You might find your trip to Gerudo becomes a bit more complicated when you notice the Molduga's characteristic sand-hump moving around in the distance.

Where Do You Find Molduga?

Breath of the Wild Molduga

A total of four Molduga can be found in Gerudo. These creatures live under the sandy shores of the desert so you're looking for areas with wide swaths of sand and not too many rocks or outcroppings that w𒈔ould restrict the Molduga's movement🗹. Unlike some other bosses in Tears of the Kingdom, there are no variants of Molduga.

We've listed the coordinates where you can find each one below, and included a map so you have a visual underꩲstanding of where to look.

Molduga,168澳洲幸运5开奖网: just like the mighty Frox, move around a lot! If you go to one of the locations we've indicated and still have trouble finding it, just keep poking around. You could also send yourself soaring into the air so that you can look for the characteristic moving sand lump.

How Do You Beat Molduga?

Tears of the Kingdom - Link attacking a Molduga

Molduga can b꧒e tricky to take down if you don't understand their key mechanic, but that's what we're here to explain. The important thing to know about Molduga is that they hone into your location based on sound! When they hear you running around, they'll burst up through the sand and gobble you up, doing significant damage in the process.

Your task is to distract the Molduga with sound somewhere else. Shoot an arrow or throw an item away from you, then wait for the Molduga to attack tha💧t spot instead. You can tell w🍰hen the Molduga thinks it's found something by the helpful question and exclamation marks that appear over its mound of sand.

While it's not absolutely necessary, it's really helpful to find some high ground for this part! Bas🐓ically, we mean anything where the Molduga can't get right under you in the sand, like on top of a ruined pillar. This helps ensure that the Molduga won't be pulled to your location by accident. 🔥And, even if it does hear you there, there's not much it can do to hurt you.

Once the Molduga reaches the arrow or item you threw, it will launch itself into the air! Usually, it would immediately return to the sand, but you can stop that by shooting it in mid-air. Bonus points if you use a Bomb Flower, which will stun it instantly. Oth♐erwise, you're probably going to need to take several shots with regular ar𝕴rows.

A stunned Molduga will flop on its side, temporarily motionless. Attack with your strongest melee weapon! However, keep an eye out for movement; the Molduga will eventually recover and flop over onto its belly. As soon as it begins to move again, run away! It will swipe at you with its tail for a lot of damage, otherwise.

Now that you know the basic steps, just repeat until you've beaten this boss! W♓e've basically described all of its tricks here, so you don't need to expect the unexpected. Molduga get their intimidating reputation because most people encounter them for the first time and are taken completely by surprise, with no prior knowledge of what attacks a Molduga will use or how to avoid its terrifying jaws. When you know that it's listening for you and all you really need to do is distract it, the process for beating it becomes rather simple.

What Weapons And Items Should You Bring?

Tears of the Kingdom - Molduga at night and Link

Bringing a strong bow isn't as important as bringing a lot of arrows to this fight. Your shots will mostly be to stun the Molduga or distract it, so they don't need to be shot from the most powerful bow in your arsenal. However, you do want a lot of arrows, because you d꧙on't know𒁏 how many times you'll need to repeat the process of distracting it and sniping it from mid-air. It would suck to have to back out of a fight three-quarters of the way in just because you don't have any arrows left for that final round.

As we noted above, attached to your arrows make the snipꦏing section much simpler and save you on arrows to stun th💎e Molduga. These are incredibly valuable, we know, but try to save up a little stash to bring to Gerudo with you.

As far as melee weapons go, we tend to prefer strong one-handed weapons or spears to the slower two-handed weapons for a Molduga fight; Molduga don't stay stunned for long, so you're missing out on damage with each slow swing of a two-handed weapon. Whatever melee weapon you choose, though, the more damage the better! You won't have to do as many repeats of the disไtracting-and-sniping process if you ca🙈n take down more of its health each round.

What Armor Should You Wear?

Tears of the Kingdom - Link standing with Desert Voe armor equipment

Arm🍷or iꦯsn't just a matter of fashion in Tears of the Kingdom; it can have a drastic effect on your well-being, as you probably already know!

Molduga appear in Gerudo, as we mentioned. In the desert, it's hot during the day but freezing at night. If you take one on during the day, you'll need heat-resistant armor, like the Desert Voe Armor set. If you take it on at night, you'll need cold-resistant armor, like the Snowquill Armor set. In fact, you might decide when to fight a Molduga based on which of those armor sets you've upgraded more at a Great Fairy. If your he🧜at-resistant armor is giving you better defense, opt for🀅 that.

You should also consider purchasing from the Secret Gerudo Fashion Club in Gerduo Town. You only need two pieces of the weather-related armor set to get the full benefit, so you're free to equip a different third piece. The Sand Boots allow you to run faster in the desert sand, so the benefits should be instantly obvious! This is the stuff⛦ that Molduga swim through, and that you'll need to run around in in order to defeat it.

You might be inclined to wear armor that will give you a sneaking bonus, like the Stealth Armor set, because Molduga are listening for a sound to hone in on your location. However, it's not super helpful in the long r🔥un. You'll mostly b💎e distracting the Molduga with items or arrows anyway, so a sneaking bonus becomes moot.
