Survival can get real in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Long Dark, with the risk of Intestinal Parasites growing with each piece of predator meat you cons🎀ume. Once reaching level five Cooking, this risk is removed entirely, unless the meat is raw or has gone off. At whichꦍ point, the thought of carrying home up to 85 kilograms of fresh Bear meat would make any player drool.
However, the Guts and Pelt of a Bear are incredibly useful at any level, and sometimes you just want that peace of mind knowing you won't bump into the local Bear for a few days. It can take a few shots to get it right though, so here are some great spots from which to hunt a Bear.
10
Pleasant Valley Farmstead Porch
The Bear cave that sits beneath the Radio Tower might seem like a safe distance away, but Bears can patrol large territories, and it's a good idea to learn their routes. For the safest results, you'll want to lure the Bear by getting close enough for it to change direction. Then, lead it to one of the porches and get close to a door. Bears can get onto these porches, but their pathing is usually a little sloppy, and you can get into the safety of the house before being attacked.
By killing the Bear near the Farmstead you won't have so far to carry its loot, and if a blizzard blows in you can quickly retreat to somewhere warm.

Mystery Lake Fishing Hut
The cabins that surround Mystery Lake are great for loot, and there are 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a couple of Rifle spawn locations nearby too. At one end of the lake is🤪 a lone cabin with an Ice Fishing Hut opposite, and the Bear will wander this area regularly.
By positioning yourself at the entrance to a Fishing Hut (with a door), it's easy to take pot shots at the Bear, even if it charges at you. Just make sure to close the door behind you, or it'll come crashing through. You can wait for it to bleed out while napping in the Cabin, too.
8
Hunting Lodge, Broken Railroad
From up on the ledge෴ where the frozen pond and Hunting Lodge sit, you can clearly see the path a Bear takes all along the cliffside. It will never detect you from down there, and you can take your sweet time ♛lining up the shot. As long as you hit it once, the Bear will eventually bleed out.
Just hop in the Lodge for a few hours, then glance over the cliff again to watch for the circling Crows. They'll pinpoint where the Bear ended up dying, and you can shimmy down the Rope to claim your prize, bit by bit.
7
Crystal Lake Dock
The frozen lake at Timberwolf Mountain's summit is teeming with wildlife, but it all disappears when the Bear comes down the creek. Another Bear will wander up from near the Wing, but usually won't get much further than the Ice Fishing Hut. This Hut doesn't usually have a door, so isn't a safe place to hunt from.
The dock outside the Mountaineer's Hut is your best bet, as neither Bear can jump up onto it, or off it for that matter. They will need to run up the bank and along the dock to get to you, so you can then continue shooting the Bear after jumping off the end and running away. The Bear will then path back along the dock, giving you time to relocate or kill it from close range.
6
Fallen Tree Over Bear Bend
The name of this area should make it an obvious spot to seek out if you're looking for a new Bearskin Coat while in Blackrock. The fallen tree trunks and stone bridges up here make for an excellent sniping position at the Bear that walks up and down this section of the broken road.
It's a little out of the way, so carrying the booty back home might be a struggle. But there are a few abandoned cars and shallow caves that you can take shelter in as you hack away at the carcass.
5
Miner's Folly
The Bear in Ash Canyon guards the Foreman's Retreat. It's one of the very few man-made buildings up here, but it has some pretty good loot. The cave also acts as the only passage to Miner's Folly, a set of partially ruined cabins. You'll have to tread lightly through the Bear's cave to get to a safe spot from which to shoot. It's a good idea to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:only attempt this in fair weather, and stand oꩲn the rickety bridges prior in order✨ to see where the Bear is currently heading.
Once through the cave, sneak around the edge of this area until you get to the intact cabin. It's easy to lure the Bear in for a clear shot from here, and then duck inside when it charges. Only attempt this Bear if you're confident in your crouching abilities.
4
Quincy's Quonset
Coastal Highway's one-stop shop is surrounded by abandoned cars and houses, some of which you can enter and loot. Quincy's Quonset is particularly good, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:makes for a fine base in this region. It might seem miles away, but the Bear from up on the hill will sometimes come down to check out the small town. Usually, it will approach from the left ba🐽nk when facing away from the sea.
The plentiful houses and cars here make it easy to set up beside a door and shoot at the bear until it charges, then jump inside. Peek back out away after a minute and see if it's still in the area, or if it ran away. You should follow the blood trail, as searching for the body later can be tricky in Coastal Highway due to all the prop carcasses and crannies an animal might die in.
3
Forlorn Muskeg's Western Hill
Close to the exit into Broken Railroad, there is a Bear cave under a hill. If you approach it from near the Broken Shortwave Tower, it's easy to walk up this hill and look down on the Bear and its territory. It's impossible for the Bear to run up this hill even if it's alert to you, and it would have to path all the way down the shoreline in order to get to you.
If you think it's decided on you for supper, then climbing down off this ledge is simple enough while the Bear takes its time going the long way. Hopefully, you will have killed it or scared it off by then.
2
Bleak Inlet's Ice Fishing Hut
There's only one Bear in Bleak Inlet, and it lives on the eastern cliff near the Fishing Cabins. Out on the frozen sea is a lone Ice Fishing Hut, in between the Cannery and the Cabins. The Bear will walk out onto the sea from time to time, or can be lured if need be. Bears will follow the player's smell without charging if there's enough distance between you. Just keep listening for its noises changing into something angrier.
Out on the sea, you'll have a clear view of the Bear, and a Hut to step into if you miss your shot. Close the door behind you though, unless you want to get cozy!
1 Spruce F♛alls Bridge 💦
Mountain Town is mostly full of Wolves that hide between derelict houses and broken-down cars in town. But in the north of the region, it gets a bit more dangerous. Spruce Falls Bridge is covered in cars to loot, a꧒nd at the end of the bridge is a Bear cave.
This Bear will walk along the bridg🍨e, quite far away from its spawn point, giving ample opportunity to duck in and out of cars as it strolls towards you. Aim for its right eye with an Arrow to take it down in one.
