168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Just over two years🌺 si⭕nce it was cancelled, Amazon is reviving its attempt to launch a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Lord of the Rings MMO. This comes as Amazon Games and franchise rights holders Middle-earth Enterprises manage to come to a deal, with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:behind-the-scenes drama c⛎ausing the last Lord of the Rings MMO to be scrapped in 2021.

The project is being led by Amazon and would be the third active MMO under its belt, joining Lost Ark and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:New World. Of the few details shared with us by Amazon, we know it will be an open-world MMO adventure game that draws upon both the original Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit for inspiration. The game doesn't even have a title yet, and is said to be in the early stages of production - so a long way off from being ready to be shown to the public. Amazon says it will be released for "PC and consoles", but can't get more specific than that right now. This likely means that there are no exclusivity arrangements right now, although it remains to be seen if that continues to be the case.

“Bringing players a fresh take on The Lord of the Rings has long been an aspiration for our team, and we’re honored and grateful that Middle-earth Enterprises is entrusting us with this iconic world," says Amazon Games vice president, Christoph Hartmann. "We’re committed to bringing players high-quality games, whether through original IPs or long-beloved ones like The Lord✃ of the Rings."

Of course, this isn't Amazon's first attempt to get an MMO based on The Lord of the Rings off the ground. The first project was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:announced back in 2019, and was in development for some time before getting canned in 2021. It had reportedly been 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:set to launch sometime in 2022, and given that this new MMO sounds like it's at the very start of its development, it's safe to assume that today's announcement concerns a completely unique project.

The previous MMO was said to have fallen apa👍rt after one of its developers, Leyou, got acquired by Tencent. This gave Middle-earth Enterprises the legal right to cancel the project, which it did. However, it seems ꦇthat any concerns this company had have been ironed out, giving another MMO its blessing.
