The first thing I did after finishing The Mageseeker was load up League of Legends and look at Sylus’ kit. Digital Sun did an exceptional job translating his abilities into The Mageseeker. His Chain Lash matches the heavy attacﷺk combo, the Abscond/Abduct ability parallels the dash and chain grab in The Mageseeker, and his ultimate, Hijack, steals the ultimates of other champions. Sylas plays very similarly in The Mageseeke𝓡r and League of Legends, even though they’re completely different kinds of games.
Which got me thinking, hey, maybe I should play some League? I mean, I beat The Mageseeker on the highest difficulty, so surely some of the skills ▨will ꦿbe transferable right? Sylas was added to League in January 2019, years after I retired from League, but maybe now is the perfect time to get back into it. Maybe I’ve always just been a Sylas main in waiting.
Everytimeಞ I start seriously thinking about playing League again, I have to check myself. After careful consideration, a long walk, a cold shower, and a chat with the lord, I came to my senses and realized that spending the next few weeks getting stomped on and name-called in a game I suck at is probably not a good use of my time. Unless…
No, I can’t do it. I really want to, but I can’t. I’d only be chasing a feeling that League will never give me. I know this, because I’ve been in this exact situation before. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:I almost got sucked 🌳in after watching Arcane, but instead I read hundreds of pages of lore on the . Then, after I finished Ruined King, I thought I wouldn’t be able to resist the siren song of League any longer, but 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a few rounds of Wild Rift kept those urges at bay. In the lead up to The Mageseeker I read and and by the time I had finished dismantling Demacia’s magic police state, I was fully League-pilled. I need more Runeterra, but I know League is only going to lead me down𓃲 a dark, lonely path.
I mean no disrespect to the brilliant developers behind League or the talented players that have dedicated years to mastering it, but as someone that was bullied out of playing the game years ago, I can attest to the fact that its toxic reputation is well-earned. Even if your skin is iron-thick, it’s j🐓ust an overwhelmingly difficult game to try to get into today. Between the ꦬ163 champions currently available and the hundreds of items you’d need to learn, League just isn’t the kind of game you can pick up and play.
It&r🥃squo;s also not a great way to get closer to the characters or learn more about this world. Everytime I watch Arcane or finish a Riot Forge game, I get excited about the rich history and complex politics of Runeterra. I don’t get any of that when I play League. Outside of some voicelines, the champions are all reduced to action figures, meant only to be smashed into 🍸each other. The entire story of League is told outside of League.
The problem is there’s nowhere for me to put all of this League-flavored energy right now. There’s two more Riot Forge games coming this year, Song of Nunu and Convergence, but I’ll likely finish both of those in a few sittings and start thinking about playing League again. Project L, the fighting game, looks promising, but like League I expect it to be fiercely competitive and light on story. What I really want is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Riot’s MMO, which is set in the League universe, and will give me free range to explore the world to my heart’s content. That’s the game I’ll be able to turn to when I need a Runeterra fix. As long ꦬas it isn’t prohibitively difficult to get into, and no one calls me a slur, it may be the game that cures me from wanting to play League of Legends ever again. I might still do it though. I mean, I already have it installed. Might as well check it out.
