As the story of The Quarry progresses, more information about the reclusive Hackett family comes to light. By the end of the game, one or more of the Hacketts will have met their end. If all seven are killed in a single playthrough, the player will earn the Family Matters Achievement / Trophy.
Eliminating all the Hacketts requires some sacrifices, as finish𝔍ing them off will cau൩se the deaths of at least one playable character. If any members of this creepy clan have proven impossible for you to take down, follow this guide on your next playthrough.

Kaylee
Kaylee is the first Hackett casualty in the game, and her death is both pre-scripted and unavoidable. At the end of Chapter Five, Kaylee attacks the counselors in her werewolf form. Thinking that the beast is Chris, Laura shoots her with silver in an attempt to end Max's curse. The gang finds Kaylee's body in the pool, where Ryan identifies her.
Constance
The monstrous matriarch can be killed shortly after she catches Laura at the end of Chapter Eight. At the beginning of Chapter Nine, Constance will turn the lights out and attempt to take Laura's shotgun. If you succeed at the ensuing button-mashing challenge, the gun will go in Constance's face, killing her instantly.
Jedediah
After Laura kills Constance, evade Jedediah and dodge his attacks until Laura is forced to fight him upstairs from the piano room. Succeed at all the quick-time events until you have the option to attack or flee. Attack Jedediah and suc๊ceed🥂 at the subsequent input challenges and Laura will finish him off.
Bobby
Predictably, this hulking brute is tough to take down. After he stabs Ryan, don't pull the knife out. This will make it harder to elude Bobby, but gi💫ve Ryan a weapon when they eventually meet.
Hide in the cabinet when Bobby returns in search of Ryan, then succeed at all the subsequent input challenges. When Ryan has a chance to hide in the crawlspace, the presence of the kni๊fe will add more quick-time events to prevent him from knocking the knife into the wall.
After succeeding at the Don't Breathe sequence inside the crawlspace, Ryan will collapse due to blood loss and Bobby will corner him. Pull the knife out now and stab Bobby. While this doesn't finish him, it leaves him too injured to fight off werewolf Chris later in the same Chapter, resulting in his death.
Chris
After Laura and Ryan find Chris chained up in his werewolf form, he escapes and attacks everyone nearby. Ryan will have a chance to shoot him - this is the only opportunity in the game to kill Chris and end Laura and Max's werewolf curse.
Caleb
After Kaitlyn returns to the Lodge, she will have a showdown with Caleb when the werewolf climbs down the chimney. If Abigail is alive and found silver shotgun shells in the storm shelter, she will pound on the office door to get Kaitlyn's attention.
Complete all input challenges until that point (failure at any point will result in Kaitlyn's death) and investigate the pounding to pick up the silver ammo. When Kaitlyn next sees Caleb, shoot him as he charges and don't miss.
Travis
If Laura shot Travis in Chapter Seven, he will kill her when she turns back into a human after Chris is shot. He will then attack Ryan, who must defend himself (which he can only do if he accepted Laura's bite earlier in the chapter).
If Laura used the syringe to incapacitate Travis, he instead brings Laura (and Ryan, if he's alive) to hunt down Silas, the White Wolf. Killing Silas will end the lycanthropy curse on anyone he's ever bitten.
When Silas attacks the car, failing at button inputs will result in the deaths of everyone in the vehicle, including Travis. Alternately, if you survive long enough to go into the woods after Silas, have Laura refuse to shoot the wounded werewolf. Travis will attack her and 🍸attempt to finish the job himself.
Whether Laura shoots Travis or Silas attacks him, Travis will die. However, any character not protected by the scent of werewolf blood will also be killed by the White Wolf. This means that either Laura or Ryan can survive this scene if Silas isn't shot, but not both.
