Since that initial reveal, several , giving us a better look at what's going to set The Rogue Prince apart from the rest of the series. One of the most notable bits of information is that The Rogue Prince won't have anything to do with the rest of the series, as it's considered a standalone experience in a new universe.
The Rogue Prince Of Persia Isn't Connected To The Other Games
, who recently had the chance to preview The Rogue Prince of Persia and talk to its developer, Evil Empire. While chatting with art director Dylan Eurlings, Game Informer asked if there was a connection between The Rogue Prince of Persia and the other gamℱes in the series.
In response, Eurlings revealed that it's a "totally new story and new universe" that isn't linked to what came before. It seems that there are currently not many easter eggs or references to previous Prince of Persia games in The Rogue Prince either, although game director Lucie Dewagnier says that it's something that could happen during the game's Early Access run.
Dewagnier was also asked if we were getting too much Prince of Persia considering we just saw the release🌸 of The Lost Crown, to which they said, "No, I think there is no such thing as too 💝much Prince of Persia".
Although it's made pretty clear from Eurlings and Dewagnier that the Rogue Prince isn't going to be tied into the larger Prince of Persia universe, there are, of course, some allusions to the rest of the series. is that the Prince still drinks water from a basin to restore his health, which is a direct nod to the Sands of Time trilogy.
