How To Get A Job

To get a job in The Sims 2, you'll need to read through the newspaper or use a computer to search for a job. There are only a few listing a✱vailable per day, so if you can't find your dream job, you'll need to make do until then.

In the newspaper, which is delivered daily, there are only three listings. If you check the computer, you'll find five listings total. Make sure to checkꦓ both to ensu🍨re you have the best chance of finding your Sim's dream gig.

When your Sim goes to work, they'll get paid upon their return. A car will come to get them when it's time to work and it will bring them back, though you can choose to walk to work as well.

How To Get Promoted

Check the job menu to see what your specific promotion requirements are. You can see what skills need to be upgraded along with how many friends your Sim needs to have to make the💜ir way up the corporate ladder.

There are also work opportunities throughout the day that can speed up your promotions, but they can also get you fired. For this reason, it's best to save before your Sim goes to work each day in case these rare occurrences happen.
